Private stone town tour - This was an amazing tour by our guide, whilst providing excellent knowledge on the city and general history. His knowledge of the markets and advising us where to eat and not too was fantastic. The food that was provided was grest and introducing us to some of the vendors was great. Highly recommend this tour, were there in April 2023

Enjoyable evening experiencing great food - Started with a visit to a rooftop bar overlooking the city. Went to the Market and experienced the food and culture of the area. Our guide was great and answered all our questions regarding the market and food. Highly recommend it.

Perfect way to explore Stone Town - Zaharan was a great tour guide. He was kind, patient, and knowledgeable about the best stalls to visit. The food was delicious and you get quite full from the bites and dishes we tried. It was a great group and a lot of fun!

Food tour of Zanzibar - Fantastic evening food tour with a wonderful kind guide! We walked around Stonetown and learned about the different doors and its history. Walked through the large food market like vegetables and seafood and meat. Learned about the different local spices. Tried some delicious Zanzibar food like orojo (hot and sour soup), Zanzibar Pizza, chicken shawarma, and topped off with ginger sugarcane juice at Fordhoni Gardens. SO many cats in Stonetown and so friendly. Everyone was very welcoming, I would highly recommend this tour! Approximate time: 2h45mins.

Zanzibar (Stonetown) food market tour experince - We were meet on time at our hotel by the guide Juma (we think this is the correct spelling) and guided through the streets to enjoy our drink over looking the city from the roof top of a local hotel. We then proceeded to the food market where his knowledge and advise on what to eat or dont eat was fantastic whilst provising a history lesson. He made us feel confortable and safe during the vist and the food provided was fantastic and he introduced us to several vendors. We highly recommend this tour and our guide.

Nice trip - nice trip, it is a lot better than the tour provided by the hotel. I am glad that I joined this to stonetown the second time after the trip provided by hoteL. Because of the cats at night market though, they are not as friendly as they look when they are interested in your food.

Good food fun but could have been better. - Beautiful sunset on rooftop restaurant enjoying a drink. Good traditional food at the market. Better experience would have been if table had been saved and the guide showed us the food preparation and explained each dish.

Not very informative but ok for a first approach to Stone Town - Not very informative about the city. The guide spoke little apart from the few key phrases learned by heart. A succession of places and dishes already chosen and organized in advance. Not bad for a first approach to the city at the end of the day.

Really disappointing - Really disappointing tour. The guide was 20 mins late. The first stop is a bar for a drink, but there was no reservation for the group so 11 of us encroached on a small group that were already sat there. Drinks were average and just served with standard nuts, nothing particularly interesting or local from Zanzibar. The market was bustling but we were sat behind the shawarma stores in a dark area backing onto the water. We couldn't see any stalls at work not any other customers passing through. The guide disappeared to get the food and bring it back to us, meaning we got no explanation of what we were eating (in the dark) and no chance to see it prepared. As we left we saw a tabled seating area that was well lit and in the middle of th market which would have been far better. This tour was a real let down, no walking, no interaction with those making the food and the guide was no more than a waiter. Waste of money and time!
