Highlights
  • Spice & Stone Town Tour - This is a 2-hour guided tour that begins at Kidichi and continues to the Kizimbani spice farms. At Kidichi, you’ll find the Persian Baths, constructed by Seyyid Said Sultan for his wife, Princess Shehrzard, a member of the Shah of Persia’s family. The tour then moves on to the Kizimbani spice plantations, where you can see and touch a wide variety of spices, fruits, herbs, and ornamental plants and flowers.

You’ll also have the chance to pick, smell, and taste fruits and spices that you may have never encountered in a supermarket, such as cloves, star fruit, tangerine trees, lemongrass, mangosteen, and ‘lipstick trees,’ among others. This is also the most affordable place to purchase locally made perfumes and oils. After the tour, we will drive you back to your hotel.

Good and amazing experience - What a wonderful tour incredibly enlightening and filled with numerous anecdotes, which added to its appeal. The guide was really entertaining and knowledgeable, but he skillfully incorporated his own tales throughout.

I recommend you to visit Stone town - Our cruise line arranged for a private excursion for us to explore Stone Town, and we were picked up from the Zanzibar island ferry by a private vehicle and guide. Together, we paid ninety dollars per person for Prison Island, Stone Town, the Slave Exhibition, and the boat transfer. Stone Town's tiny, winding streets are lined with examples of historic mixed-style buildings. There's a certain atmosphere to the city. That's how I perceived it. We smelled spices and tasted luscious, creamy baby bananas in the local fruit and seafood market. additionally went to the Anglican Church, The Slaves Exhibition monument, and The Freddy Mercury Museum (entry costs $10).

A must-do spice and stone town tour - I heartily recommend Geoffrey and his excursions! He was incredibly gracious and fast in setting up a tour date and time from the moment I found him on Instagram. Our final destination before returning to the ship was Stone Town. Since we didn't want to drag our bags through Stone Town's streets, Geoffrey graciously arranged for a vehicle to pick us up at the beginning and finish of the trip and take us to the ferry. He is brimming with wisdom, tales, and interesting trivia about the things we are witnessing. He provided us with umbrellas to use when the rain started to fall throughout our trip! He gave us an introduction and allowed

City tour must do ❤ - I highly recommend this visit of Stone Town (a must do when coming to Zanzibar)! The guide was extremely professional and interesting. We had the opportunity to discover the city and fully appreciate its dynamism. Through the lively streets, we got a lot of information on the historical places and monuments encountered and visited ; and with a touch of humour, we learned a lot about the city. We will for sure remember this very pleasant visit tel +255718620306

Must do when you’re Zanzibar - I would recommend stone town and Spice this tours as a necessity for anyone visiting Stone Town for an extended period. Geoffrey guide was very personable and knowledgeable about his city. He also gave great recommendations for our time after his tour. In all, this package gives you a lot of context about the city’s landscape and history with a guide who feels like an old friend, who is a history buff, showing you all the famous and hidden parts of his hometown
