This tour provides an opportunity to learn about Zanzibar’s history and various periods of colonization with our knowledgeable guide. You will visit historical sites such as the old slave market, Darajani market, the old fort, Freddy Mercury’s house, the House of Wonders, Tippu Tip’s house, and more.

Additionally, you will explore one of the largest spice markets in town, where you can see a variety of spices including cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, lemongrass, nutmeg, and others. Our guide will assist you and allow ample time for this experience.

For the Prison Island (Giant Tortoise) tour, we will take a motorized boat from Stone Town to Prison Island, also known as Giant Tortoise or Changuu Island. Here, you will see giant tortoises and the historic prison.

About Lunch: We offer complimentary local cuisine at our top Swahili restaurant in Stone Town. If you are interested in lunch, please book the morning tour as lunch is served from 12 PM to 2 PM. Outside of these hours, we can accommodate other requests based on the client’s preferences.
