- Prison Island - Changuu Private Island - Prison Island is home to large land tortoises imported from Seychelles. Visitors will also learn about the island’s prison, which is no longer operational. Starting from January 15, 2024, the entrance fee for Prison Island will be $12 plus $3 for marine conservation.

Zanzibar Spice Tour, Stone Town Walk and Prison Island tour is Well Worth the Experience! - The tour is split into 3 segments with different guides and drivers so be prepared to tip multiple people if that is your custom. We really enjoyed all the experiences as each guide was very knowledgeable and personable. The Spice tour included a lunch of local food sources and was quite tasty. The history of slavery in Africa, and especially in Zanzibar, is heartbreaking. Fortunately, Solidarity and Acceptance of differences both racially and spiritually is now the norm, and other countries should learn from this
