• Zaragoza - Departing from IKEA at Puerto Venecia, we traverse the path that goes beneath the Z40, continuing straight to Varello de las Zorras, which we’ll stick to until we climb up to the Montes de Torrero.
• Zaragoza - Upon reaching the Cabezo de las Zorras (1.30 hours, 400 meters elevation), we’ll proceed along the ridge until we encounter a trail that slopes down from the start of the Barranco de los Lecheros to a junction with a track. From there, heading westward, it will lead us to the starting point.

9:00 AM, DAYTIME - Let’s embark on an intriguing journey across the southern plains of Zaragoza, traversing unique terrains, teeming with an abundance of life. This route is relatively easy, but the twist is it only proceeds in one direction. The ultimate goal of this adventure is to gain knowledge about identifying a range of flowers, shrubs, and avian species. This involves a leisurely stroll through vast open grasslands, feather grass fields, and fields of rosemary that thrive on slopes and peaks.

On the face of it, the area surrounding Zgz, save for the forestry sections, appears hostile, unwelcoming and near bereft of life…but looks can be deceiving. There are gorges that maintain a water supply all year, so densely vegetated that they become impassable; there are pine woods, precipices, occasional maple and mastic trees…

20:00 PM (EVENING, Thursday, Friday and Saturday) | Here’s where things take a turn, we commence with an hour of botany, but subsequently, it morphs into a navigation exercise in a locale that assumes a completely different guise at night. We faithfully make stops to listen for the sounds of birds and bats.
