Great Excursion - Was a neat way to see the area. Loved being able to get on and off the train and hike the trails and eat at the restaurants. Fabulous views!

Good tour for the majestic views - This tour gives a great view of the Matterhorn and the surrounding mountains. There is a terrace setup with benches where you can sit and marvel at the beautiful mountains or have a mini picnic with sandwiches you picked up or take photos of the picturesque views. The gornergrat railway was relaxing and offers great views on your way up and down. You also have the option to engage in partial or full hiking because they have trails from the mountains going down.

The paradise of 4000 - The spectacle of the north face of the Rosà is phenomenal, from Gornergrat you can see the peaks of Castore and Pollux and the summit and all the glaciers below. The ski descent to Zermatt is spectacular.

A train ride to a view of the iconic mountain - It's all about the weather, needs to be clear. Then the experience is unforgettable and well worth it. It's not a cheap experience at over 110 euros per person. But wow the views, especially the iconic Matterhorn.

Don't miss it! - It's a must to do when visiting Zermatt. With a Swiss Travel Pass, the ride costs 50% less. You can hop on and off anywhere you want. On the way back, we got off early, hiked down to the Riffelsee lake, and continued on to the next train station. It was the longest and wildest hike in my life (I don't hike much), and the most amazing and memorable.

Trip highlight! - Best views of the Matterhorn! Cold and windy up there in June, but well worth it. Enjoyed the movie and the little augmented reality paraglide. We hiked down the mountain a couple of train stops and that was well worth it. It was as if you had crashed "The Sound of Music," with the views and experience. The Zermatt side of the train has the better views, although both sides are excellent.

Great views poor facilities - The views are amazing. Train journey very crowded. Let down by the totally insufficient facilities at the top. Giant gift shop but seating for only around 50 for any coffee or soft drinks and snacks. Expensive restaurant .

Must Do in Zermatt - Fantastic railway line that takes you up to the best Matterhorn viewpoint. The cogwheel railway is a fantastic piece of engineering that takes in almost 60-degree climbs on its way to the top. While it is pricey, try and get in groups on 10 as this significantly reduces the cost, especially if you are only visiting for the day.

Check weather before booking - Touristy, crowded train. Check the weather before booking a ticket. No refunds or exchanges. There was a white out and could not see anything. Looked like Siberia.
