Zhangjiajie National Forest Park - After breakfast at your hotel, our driver and tour guide will meet you in the hotel lobby at 08:30am and transfer you to Zhangjiajie National Park in the Wulingyuan Scenic Area, which was designated a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1992. This site is more commonly known as “Zhangjiajie Scenic Area” rather than “Wulingyuan” because it is managed by Zhangjiajie City and includes the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park.

Tianzi Mountain - We will take the Tianzi Mountain cable car to reach the mountain (approximately 20 minutes) and spend 30 minutes there.

Tianzi means “Heavenly Prince.” He was a real person who led the local minority in a battle against the government army during the Ming Dynasty 500 years ago. The Tianzi Mountain area was an old battlefield, and many scenic spots are tied to historical stories and legends about this honorable man. Visually, the top of Tianzi Mountain offers the most spectacular view of the sandstone peak forest in the park, characterized by its sharp and slim shapes. It’s one of the highlights of the Zhangjiajie Scenic Area.

Yuanjiajie - After visiting Tianzi Mountain, we will transfer to the Yuanjiajie area and spend 30 minutes there.

Yuanjiajie served as the main inspiration for the movie Avatar, featuring hundreds of original “Floating Avatar Mountains,” with the major one called “Hallelujah Mountain.” The view is truly impressive, resembling an outer-space landscape. It’s no wonder this area is rated as the most famous highlight in the park. The pillars here are larger than in other areas. Additionally, there is the world’s highest sightseeing elevator (326m), which saves us a lot of time for more sightseeing. However, Yuanjiajie can be crowded during peak tourism seasons, so be prepared.

BaiLong Elevator - After visiting Yuanjiajie, we will head to the Bailong Elevator, use it to descend the hill, then take a shuttle bus to the car parking lot before continuing to the Glass Bridge.

Zhangjiajie Glass Bridge - After a 40-minute drive, we will reach the Glass Bridge in Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon. This transparent bridge is the highest and longest glass-bottomed bridge in the world, measuring 430 meters in length and 6 meters in width, and suspended 300 meters above the ground. It is said to have inspired the landscapes of the film Avatar. The bridge spans the canyon between two mountain cliffs and can accommodate 8,000 visitors a day, though ten times as many people want access daily. The bridge has set as many as ten world records for its design and construction.

Zhangjiajie - Fenghuang. O/N Fenghuang.

Tianmen Mountain National Forest Park - After breakfast at your hotel, our driver and tour guide will meet you in the hotel lobby at 08:00am and transfer you to Tianmen Mountain National Forest Park, where we will spend 2 hours. We will use the cable car or shuttle bus to go up the hill, depending on traffic.

Tianmen Mountain is known as the “New Legend of Zhangjiajie.” It’s the highest spot (1500m) in Zhangjiajie, where you can walk on a thrilling cliff-path and glass walkway, and see the entire city and beautiful countryside from a bird’s-eye view. The landscape here is different from, but equally as impressive as, the Zhangjiajie National Park. Both are world-class sceneries, making this a must-visit highlight of the city. What’s more, this single mountain holds four Guinness World Records, each overwhelmingly impressive. It’s an amazing experience you won’t forget.

Xiangxi Hibiscus Town - After visiting Tianmen Mountain, we will head to Furong Town, a 1.5-hour drive away. Furong Town, also known as Hibiscus Town and originally named Wangcun, is located in Yongshun County of Western Hunan Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture.

This ancient town has over 2000 years of history and was first founded by King Tusi as the capital of Youyang County in 202 BC during the Western Han Dynasty.

In 1997, the town was renamed Furong (meaning Hibiscus in Chinese phonetic alphabet) after a Chinese movie titled “Hibiscus Town” was filmed here in 1986. The movie won the Golden Award in 1987 for best Chinese film, making the town famous nationwide.

The film tells the story of a young woman’s life and struggles during the Cultural Revolution.

Phoenix Ancient Town - After a 2.5-hour drive from Furong Town, we will reach Fenghuang (Phoenix) Old Town. We will first check into the hotel, then visit the old city wall and streets, and enjoy the nightlife in Fenghuang.

Fenghuang - Guilin. O/N Guilin.

Dragon’s Backbone Rice Terraces - After a 4-hour drive from Fenghuang, we will reach the Longji Rice Terraces. We will visit the Huangluo Yao Village and Ping’an or Dazhai Village using the cable car, then continue to Guilin.

Guilin - Yangshuo. O/N Yangshuo

Reed Flute Cave (Ludi Yan) - After breakfast at your hotel, our driver and tour guide will meet you in the hotel lobby at 09:00am and transfer you to Guilin Reed Flute Cave.

The cave is located 7km from the city center and requires a 20-minute drive. It is a typical limestone cave featuring beautiful stalactites, stalagmites, stone pillars, and stone flowers of various shapes, all illuminated by colored lights.

Xianggong Mountain - After visiting the cave, we will transfer to Yangshuo Xianggong Hill. The hill has 450 steps and takes 15 minutes to climb. Once at the top, we can enjoy a 360-degree view of the beautiful limestone peaks and the Li River.

Xingping Town - After lunch and a visit to West Street, we will transfer to Xingping to visit the old street. We will spend 20 minutes there before continuing to the river pier for a boat tour.

Li River - After visiting Xingping Old Street, we will head to the Xingping River pier and take a small motorized bamboo boat for a Li River cruise tour, which lasts for one hour. The boat will travel from Xingping to Nine Horses Hill and back to the Xingping River pier.

Yangshuo. O/N Yangshuo.

Yulong River - At 9:00am, our guide will meet you at your Yangshuo hotel and transfer you to Jinlong Bridge pier, where you will take a bamboo boat to Jiuxian pier. The boat tour lasts for 1.5 hours one way.

Yulong Bridge - After the boat tour, we will transfer to the Yulong River area, where we can ride a bike or moped to explore the beautiful Yangshuo countryside along the Yulong River. The bike or moped tour lasts for one hour.

Impression Sanjie Liu - Finally, we will take you to the Liusanjie show. The show starts at 17:45pm, but we need to arrive one hour early due to traffic, parking, and check-in. The show lasts for 70 minutes, and we will return to your Yangshuo hotel around 21:30pm.

Yangshuo - Guilin airport/train station. The tour ends.

West Street - Today, there are no scheduled activities. You have a free day, and the driver will take you to the Guilin airport/train station afterward.
