• Tianmen Mountain National Forest Park - Our guide and driver will meet you at 9:00am in the hotel lobby. The trip to Tianmen Mountain can take more than half a day, or even a full day if you prefer a leisurely pace. The itinerary typically includes:
  • Take the cable car up Tianmen Mountain directly, head to the Western Line to enjoy The Cliff-Hanging Walkway, walk on The Glass Skywalk, and visit Tianmen Mountain Temple (optional). Ride the lift back to the upper cable car station. Proceed to the Eastern Line, take the escalator through the mountain down to Tianmen Cave, and then take a shuttle bus to the lower cable car station.
  • Alternatively, take a shuttle bus from the cable car station on the 99 Bends, visit Tianmen Cave, then take the escalator through the mountain up to the top. Head to the upper cable car station and continue to the Western Line to enjoy The Cliff-Hanging Walkway, walk on The Glass Skywalk, and visit Tianmen Mountain Temple (optional). Ride the lift back to the upper cable car station, then take the cable car down the mountain (highly recommended).

Good to know:
• Tianmen Mountain is very crowded during peak seasons, especially in summer and on holidays. It is common to wait 2 to 3 hours or more for the cable car. You may want to visit nearby scenic spots like Tujia Folk Garden or Laodao Bay in the morning and go to Tianmen Mountain after 11:00am.
• There are no restaurants at the top of the mountain, and snacks sold there are expensive. It’s advisable to bring your own snacks before heading to Tianmen Mountain.
