• BaiLong Elevator - After entering the park, take a bus to Bailong Elevator, which holds three world records: the highest outdoor mountain elevator at 326 meters, the fastest glass sightseeing elevator at 5 meters per second, and the largest elevator, capable of carrying 64 people at once. In just 88 seconds, you’ll reach the top of the mountain, where you can capture views of 48 peaks that resemble 48 generals lined up.
• Yuanjiajie - Take the Sky Elevator to reach Yuanjiajie Avatar Mountain. Spend about an hour walking around the large Misa platform, passing the Sky Pillar, the largest floating mountain featured in the movie Avatar. This 350-meter-high pillar points skyward and is also known as Avatar Mountain. The Heaven Bridge, 350 meters above the ground, is the highest natural bridge in the world and is often called the No. 1 bridge in the world. The Enchanting Platform offers a mesmerizing view of green mountains in various shapes and distances, making you forget to leave within 30 seconds. The peaks here are larger than those at Tianzi Mountain, providing a close-up experience of these majestic formations.
• Laowuchang - Take a sightseeing bus to reach Lao Wu Chang, a local village on the mountain where the Tujia minority people live. They cultivate rice fields on the mountain and lead a happy, quiet life. Facing the Sky Elevator, the area features 48 peaks between the elevator and the rice fields, known as the 48 Generals Line Up. Walking among the platforms offers stunning mountain views from different angles, resembling a large garden in the air. Few tourists visit this hidden gem, allowing you to appreciate the serene beauty and understand the idyllic life of the mountain inhabitants.
• Tianzi Mountain - Also known as the kingdom of peaks, Tianzi Mountain boasts over 1,000 peaks. Numerous viewing platforms provide different perspectives of these unique formations, often likened to enlarged bonsai trees and a miniature fairyland, as depicted in traditional Chinese paintings. The most famous view, the Imperial Writing Brush, is located here and was the first image on Zhangjiajie stamps and the official picture of the park. For some visitors, Tianzi Mountain is the most beautiful mountain in the world. Helong Park, built in 1986 to commemorate the 90th birthday of Helong, one of the 10 marshals in the PLA, features his bronze statue with a horse and his cemetery. You can take the Tianzi Mountain Cable Car down, enjoying scenic views along the way.
