A highlight of my Taiwan trip - I met June shortly after arriving in Taipei. This tour was a great introduction to Taiwanese culture, history, and food. June is very personable. She seems to know everyone in the Dongmen area. I felt like I was visiting with a longtime friend. All of the tastings were delicious. I highly recommend this tour with June.

Great Walking Food Tour - My daughter, her boyfriend and I booked this tour. The directions for meeting our tour guide June were excellent and we met up with no problem. June has been doing this for about 7 years, lives in the area, knows many of the local business owners and gave us some quick history and facts about Taipei during our tour. We walked through Dongmen Marketplace and sampled some fruit, stopped at several restaurants, food booths and a tea house and tried lots of local foods….soups, vegetables, wraps, pastries, noodles, meats and teas. We were so full afterwards! We also stopped in at a couple of businesses but were never pressured to purchase. June even gave us some recommendations on other things to see and do while we were in Taipei, she spoke very good english and we had great conversations. We thoroughly enjoyed this tour and would highly recommend booking with her.

Lots of tasty food in this tour - My wife and I scheduled this tour for 10AM on the first full day in Taipei. We schedule them early in our visit in most cities we visit. Although we often share these tours with other visitors, we ended up getting a private tour for just the two of us. Some food tours are primarily walking tours with just a few food stops. This one definitely focused on food primarily and, in fact, there was so much food that we filled up and felt the need to turn down items because there was just so much food in the first hour of the tour (we probably should have had a lighter breakfast in hindsight). The tour guide, Jones, spoke English well and had a very can do attitude. We started at the market near the metro stop where the tour began and within half an hour we had already sampled half a dozen items that included a rice ball, multiple fresh fruits, soup dumplings and fried chicken. But I think this counted as only 1 or 2 of the ten tastings built into the trip When Jones saw we were getting full he granted our request to take a side trip to see the school my wife’s father had attended in the 1950s that was still operating and he showed us various other sites in the area that were not part of the normal ten tastings. He also found some lighter items such as a shaved ice place and a tea house when he saw that we could not eat any more of the standard items which would have included more noodle or dumpling dishes. We appreciated his flexibility. So my advice to others taking this tour is don’t eat anything for at least two hours before the tour starts and pace yourself because Taipei offers a large number of food options without a ton of long walks in between them.

Best Taipei Food Tour and More! - This tour was the absolute best introduction to Taipei. We tried many delicious foods and got to see a portion of the city and learn where to go to see much more. June not only fed us interesting and delicious food, but she also gave so much more of her time. It was fascinating talking with her about Taiwanese history. Ask her anything and she will be glad to have the discussion. She helped us make reservations for massages at a local spa, she helped us identify the must-see places for our three days here and she showed us some incredibly cute gift shops where we can get unique souvenirs for our families. Sign up for this tour! It is highly worthwhile!

Great sampling of foods - Great tour. The food we sampled was awesome. We received full portions of everything, so came home full and even had some leftovers. We sampled many local foods we wouldn’t have found in our own. The time that we spent looking at buildings and architecture was not very worthwhile, as the explanations weren’t very clear. But the food portion was great, and we sampled more than the 10 foods promised
