Great intro to Taiwan history and welcome to Taipei activity - Booked last minute for our first day in Taipei and was pleasantly surprised. Leo was fantastic guide and historian. With perfect and enthusiastic English explained so much information and really gave us an understanding of Taiwan we wouldn’t have otherwise gotten. This is a true history tour more than site seeing. If that’s what interests you then you will enjoy it. Tip guide $15-20 USD per person.

Old Taipei really came to life! - The tour was wonderful. Marc was a fantastic tour guide, able to give a ton of details as well as big overarching themes. History, culture, city planning -- it was great. The only downside was that it was really hot! And a few of the places we stopped -- to see a particular building, say -- were out in the sun, so it could be a bit brutal. But I really enjoyed the 3 hours -- it was time very well spent!

Great guide, great experience - Elliot was a fantastic tour guide! He was very knowledgeable about the history of Taiwan and shared his knowledge in a captivating and entertaining way. He was able to keep the tour light hearted even when discussing some of the issues that have plagued Taipei. Great tour!

Taiwan Walking Tour - I spontaneously booked a walking tour and due to the weather I ended up being the only person to show up. Regardless, I met Ale, the guide for the tour, and I decided to do the tour with her anyway (just her and I). And I'm so glad I did!!!! Ale was an incredible guide! We walked around a memorial park and her knowledge of Taiwanese history was truly impressive!!! We even encountered a major thunderstorm during the tour, but that didn't stop us. When the rain subsided, we moved on... Ale walked me through an alleyway market, a cool "shoe" street, and she even took me to a popular ice-cream shop with bizarre flavors on the menu. The entire time Ale had a story and information to share. She also took photos of me throughout the tour. I had such a fun memorable time:) You will be very lucky to get Ale as a tour guide... she is excellent*****

An absolute must in Taipei - It was unfortunately raining all throughout and there was only 4 of us in the tour, but that didn't matter 'cause our incredible tour guide Shao gave us the full tour experience nevertheless. It was highly educational and it gave us a new perspective and a beautiful introduction to Taiwan and its people. The perfect thing to do on your first day in Taiwan, it's an absolute must. Shao is an absolute trooper and she made the tour better than what we could've ever imagined.

Elliot is Exellent! - We loved this tour and felt like the information in it was things we couldn’t have learned on our own just by walking around. Elliot was our guide and he knew so much about Taiwan’s history and politics, which is what interested us the most when planning to come here.

Did not receive services rendered - Had a quick 24 hours in Taipei so I booked this tour for an easy tour of old town. However, I do not believe the tour guide ever showed up. I arrived at the meeting point on time, and even walked to the secondary point (they provide you with other meeting points if you are late and want to catch up). Instructions say that someone will be clearly marked with an orange and white badge, but all I saw were a handful of people minding their own business. I contacted the company for assistance but it was less than helpful. Additionally, the museum which we were to tour also appeared closed. I may be wrong, and perhaps I truly may have missed the group, but my guess is that maybe no one else signed up, and because I was a single booking (costs $5 to reserve and the tour is only tip-based), the guide decided not to show. Too bad, I had retrieved a good chunk from the ATM on my way to the meeting point. While only a $5 loss, it was still a service I paid for but did not receive.
