Paddle alongside a guide as you make the 45 minute trip to Las Gatas Beach, where you’ll pause for a cold beer or a bottle of water before starting an hour snorkel tour of the Las Gatas seawall.
Everything from hermit crabs to tropical fish makes their home on the sheltered inner surface of the seawall, and you’ll also find sea urchins and sea cucumbers among the coral reef formations. Swim as far as the ‘king of kings’ statue, an underwater statue of Jesus.
Return to shore for lunch on the beach, choosing from a main dish of fish filet or shrimp or chicken fajitas or cheese quesadillas.
Relax on the beach for 1 hour and 45 minutes to soak up the sunshine or swim, then return to your kayak for the trip back to La Ropa Beach, this tour concludes with drop-off at your hotel at roughly 3:30 P.M.

Long awaited trip to Zihua - Fantastic experience!
Pablo and Luis were exceptional to work with. They were both extremely knowledgeable and we were all pleased with our trip.
Definitely a highlight of our trip!

Perfect tour even on a tricky day! - Luis was the perfect guide and accommodated us seamlessly on a tricky day. The weather turned on us a bit and we informed him (very late) of some dietary restrictions. He arranged for a terrific lunch and revised the transportation back. We learned a lot about the area, loved kayaking in the Bay and highly recommend this tour. Muchas gracias a Luis (and Leo!)!

Best tour guide in Zihuatanejo - Luis took us on this trip and many other while we were in Zihuatanejo. He took extra care to make sure my small kids were well taken care of and having fun the whole time. We had a great kayak ride across the bay to a great snorkeling destination. We went on several trips with Luis and I could not recommend booking tours with him more.

Celebrated my 50th birthday with my twin sister! So much fun! - The bus picked us up right on time and took us to the marina where we met Pablito, our tour guide.
He was so Nice and friendly and shared lots of awesome historical facts while kayaking to Los Gatos. Once we got to Los Gatos we went snorkeling and had a fantastic time and saw a ton of fish! And cool historical items under the water. Lastly we walked the beach and enjoyed a delicious lunch that was prepared. As the tour ended our questions were answered and many suggestions were given about things to do around Zihua. So fun! Definitely recommend!

Amazing!! - Absolutely amazing experience! Luis was an incredible guide who made us feel so safe, comfortable, and taken care of while kayaking and snorkeling. He was extremely knowledgeable and we learned so much about the animals and environment. He guided us in the water with a floating board while snorkeling and showed us so many cool things we would have never gotten to experience if we had done it alone. He also took photos and videos underwater and sent them to us which was a real treat! The kayaking was very relaxing on the calm waters and it was so lovely to see the whole bay from the ocean.
We loved it so much that we booked another excursion with Luis for two days later with our friends for a snorkeling excursion to Manzanillo Bay that was breathtaking - couldn’t recommend Luis enough! It’s clear he loves what he does and the whole experience was simply priceless. Definitely the highlights of our trip.

Great day in the water - We had our trip with Pablo and, start to finish, it was excellent! My partner and I brought my dad and I’m so glad we booked with this guide. We learned about some of the history of the area and local culture. The kayaking was excellent. Snorkeling was great. Saw a lot of fish, eels, and sea stars. Pablo helped us identify a lot of the species we saw and was great showing us some that we otherwise would have missed. Lunch was delicious and right on the water front. Highly recommend for anyone looking for an active, sunny excursion. 🤗☀️

Fun in the Sun - Pablo is fantastic! The kayaking is so peaceful and beautiful. Pablo is very knowledgeable about all of Zihuatenejo and the beaches. He shared lots of information and history. The snorkeling was beautiful. Pablo is very kind and helpful to ensure the best experience.

Great day of fun and history! - Luis is very efficient and communicated with me as soon as I booked. He sent me a text to confirm and to ask if I had any questions. We were picked up right at our hotel lobby. They called to let me know they were almost at the hotel, so we could meet them. I appreciated that. From ixtapa. It was about a 20 min ride. We got to the dock and met Pablo. My sister had never kayaked before so he eased her anxiety and put us in a two-person kayak. He checked on us constantly and made sure we were always in the group. Kayaking was fun! It took us about 40 minutes to get to Las Gatas. On the way, Pablo gave us information about the region. I don’t know about the rest of the group, but I wasn’t really tired when we got to Las Gatas. Once there, we got ready to snorkel. We followed Pablo at all times. We saw lots of fish, sea stars, a very shy octopus and even an eel. Some in the group dove down to see Jesus. 😀 We had lunch after snorkeling. The lunch was yummy. Some had shrimp, others had fish. But there were many other options to choose from. We each got one drink (included). Note*** if you want more than one drink, you’ll need to pay for it. A piña colada is about $7. So not bad! Restrooms were readily available and clean. We had about half an hour after lunch to look around, shop or just go in the water. My sister and I sat at the restaurant to relax for a bit longer. Pablo came over and we had a great chat about where we were from, and he proceeded to tell us some more about the area and its history. We got back to La Ropa where our ride awaited. We dropped off our new friends first and headed to Ixtapa. It was a great day!!! I wholeheartedly recommend this tour. And if you get Pablo, say hello from the two Puertorican teacher sisters! 👋🏽😊

Book this tour! - Luis gave our group (my husband, sister and brother in law - active 60s) an extraordinary experience.
He thoughtfully curated all aspects of the tour which involved pick up at a nearby hotel, transport to a beach where we got into our kayaks and paddled to a beach (maybe two miles at a comfortable pace) adjacent to our snorkeling destination. We have snorkeled at many places around the world. This tour is unique in that Luis stayed with and due to his familiarity with the area and his keen observation, found a juvenile octopus, 20 plus species of fish, sea urchins, and star fish. After a delicious lunch (catch of the day was mahi mahi that was grilled with a garlic marinade) we paddled back to a beach near our accommodations. Within a few hours of our return, Luis had uploaded excellent ( and generally flattering) photos and videos of us taken throughout our time together.
Luis is knowledgeable about Zihua and well-informed about a diverse range of topics from history, archaeology, economic development, and school policy to marine biology. He was solicitous, effective and just fun! We could not recommend this experience more highly. Don’t wait - just book this tour. Especially if you are new to Zihua, it is a wonderful introduction to the geography, restaurants, and topics interest of each member of the group.
