Wonderful waterfalls and yummy cheese and chocolate - The views at Rhein falls were amazing. Thanasis was a great driver and guide, he took us all down to the falls and explained where we needed to be, showed us the walking route back and the boat options, he even took lots of pictures for us. We also went to Appenfallen for the chocolate and the cheese tours and they were a lot of fun. Thanasis told us some facts about Switzerland on the journey and recommended his favourite cheeses. Both tours were self guided with interactive elements and we had cheese and lots of chocolate to try on the way round. Would definitely recommend this day trip.

So glad I was able to find the van in the corner because the tour was very good. - The trip was great but I almost missed the whole thing with 1 minute to spare. I had a difficult time identifying the meet-up spot because there were too many big busses in that parking lot. No one from the tour was identifiable and the other tour vendors on site were not going to help at all 😩

100% enjoyable - Really helpful and cheerful guide cum driver! Appenzell is a must go destination, especially the old town. The chocolate factory has really interesting exhibition and free samples of chocolates! The cheese factory sells really great tasting cheese and they are really cheap!!!

A bit too long for our liking - Rhine falls was a wonderful experience and highly recommend it. The chocolate tour was good to see the assembly line in action, good chocolate. There was a lot of kids the day we went which made it a bit more challenging. Cheese factory was ok but nothing special and by time we got to Appenzell we had had enough of the day and went to a brewery to sample some beer and whiskey. We ended up about 40 minutes late getting back so it was about 10 3/4 hours. Beautiful countryside The driver was excellent and the tour guide that left after Rhine Falls was also good. A bit too long of a day on a bus. I would choose 2 shorter tours

First half was great/ second half, not so good - The Rhine Falls trip was spectacular- small group and a lot of freedom- the driver was great- very friendly and helpful. The second part of the tour was not good- the chocolatorium was geared for children, not adults and was very corny - a bit like a Willy Wonka tour. The cheese tour was just OK- hard to follow with the QR code and tasting box. The highlight of the second trip was to Appenzell but we barely had time to see it because people needed to find a place to eat- the combined tours are too long - over 11 hours and a lot of drive time.

Good tour - The tour didn't start well. When we were booking, we had the option of hotel pickup. We selected it. But on the morning we still haven't received any confirmation about the pickup details. So we contacted the tour operator that when they told us that that pickup is not available. So we had to rush to find how to get to the meeting point. That wasn't pleasant. Then we got to the meeting point, it was so hard to find our tour as there was no signs or flags or anything. There were other tours as well and we had to go and check with all tour guides until we found it. That was also the comments from everyone coming on the bus "oh finally found it". Much better organization is definitely required. As for the tour itself, it was ok. The Rheinfalls are magnificent, the chocolate factory was good as well as the cheese factory. Then our last destination was a stop in Appenzell, this was a ghost town, we did the tour on a Sunday, and everything was closed except for 2 restaurants. This was a waste of time. Again, the tour operator should know that and remove that stop on Sundays tours. It is not a bad tour, but the operator needs better organization.

Not worth it - The chocolate and cheese factories were already done with manufacturing in the afternoon. It wasn't worth the time or money. Maybe if they did those in the morning and we could have seen the process it would have been interesting. Overall the driver was OK, he gave information when asked but I didn't appreciate the various lectures on our time, when we were a few minutes late due to the events lines. And stating he gave us extra time that only 45min were allocated for the chocolate, 1 hour was allocated and no extra time was given except the 5 min we were tardy due to the events slowness. Also, why give extra time at cheese facility if everyone was done in 15, except for staying to let children run around. And lastly, why weren't the emergency bathroom children allowed to use the bus bathroom vs. Stopping.
