Walk at your own pace? Yes please! - It was my first time in Zürich and I wanted an in depth experience at my own pace. I also had marked on my phone a few sites or stores I wanted to see as well. This was perfect! I was able to skip aspects I did not want to see very easily and go to additional places without needing to backtrack. I appreciated the thoroughness and the fact that I got a written transcript of the audio. For the price, it was an easy choice. You do need to make sure to have internet and I recommend a good pair of walking shoes because you are going to walk A LOT. It took me about 4-4/12 hours to do the tour but I got to sit and take it all in without feeling rushed. If you want a good experience and have a few hours to explore, you can’t beat this!

Self guided audio tour - Had a few problems with the audio link in the beginning but was able to get help and the problem fixed quickly. All in all a nice tour. Really liked being able to go at my own pace and spend time (or not) at the different locations

Audio tour through Zurich - I was discovering places in Zurich which I‘ve only seen on pictures. I recommend this guided audio tour because it explains the history of Zurich quite well in depth and was able to expand my history knowledge and map understanding of Zurich. I think for me as a 17 year old high schooler from Sweden, I prefer a audio tour over a guided tour, because you can decide when to pause to eat lunch, can take relaxed pictures of the places and having to wait until the other people of your tour are away and you can go in the pace you want to go.

I enjoyed this affordable intro to spectacular Zürich! - I learned so much about the fascinating history of Zürich. The views of the river are spectacular! The audio guide is full of details about Roman baths, labor guilds, and other aspects of Zürich history. I went at a leisurely pace by myself, and got to about 65 of the 111 landmarks in the audio. You can access it for up to a year, so I will try to finish the tour today since it’s my last day in Zürich. My only criticism, and it’s a small one, it that the music sounded like it was for a Hallmark movie.

An absolute must for anyone interested in the history & culture of Zurich through the years - The tour is self-guided & self-paced almost equivalent to having a personal guide. The instructions are clear & easy to follow. One feels like he/she is on a Scavanger hunt looking for clues & shapes while learning about the rich history of the city. We should have such tours for every city! This was one of the best experiences during my Europe trip.

Excellent - Highly recommend this tour, especially, if you are curious about the history of Zurich. Even though I lived in Zurich for many years, I learned so much in this couple of hours. Content is very rich in fascinating historic facts. Excellent presentation (voice and audio quality is always important for me. It was perfect, super professional, beautiful language, pleasant voice and background music). Very detailed , easy to follow route description including even trafic safety considerations. Overall - top quality product.

Walking around Zurich with an audio guide - This was the first time I walked around Zurich with an audio guide. The route is logical, you just go from one monument or place to another. I really liked that you can change the audio when you do not need to listen to it and go to the right one. For example, I didn't listened the description of the path several times. But if you are new to the city, this feature can be useful. I also really liked that there is text under each audio. I stopped the audio several times because it was noisy outside, sat down on a bench and read. I especially remember the sections about the Opera (description of busts of great writers and composers), Grossmünster (I was very surprised that there were a lot of people in the building, but no one goes down to the basement to the monument of Charlemagne!!! It seems to me that without help there is almost no chance to notice this staircase), Spiegelgasse (Cabaret Voltaire and Lenin's House). After the tour, the best thing to do is to have a good meal, because it takes at least 2 hours to walk (I took a little longer). And I would advise you to think carefully about the time for a walk. I started the tour on a weekday at 16:00. I must say that there are a lot of people on Bahnhostrasse at that time. I would advise you to choose a time in the morning when, for example, the entrance to the Grossmünster is open and there are fewer people (but not a fact, as there are almost always a lot of people in the center of Zurich). In general, I liked thus City Tour with Audio and got a good amount of cultural and historical information about the city. Of the wishes, only a possible translation of the audio guide into other languages.

Lived up to the billing - This tour offered exactly what it said. The directions are good. Covers early - early history in detail which includes ALOT of info about various churches which was a bit more detail than I needed. Seemed to drag for us but did give us our bearings around Old Town. Did not cover items about WWII, the city's bomb shelters, tc. Probably didn't help that our group had been up for 24 hours and had just arrived. Would like to stress this lived up to it's description. It just didn't light our lamp as a 5 Star tour. Was a good value for a low price. We would do it again but we got more out of the more expensive guided tour we did our 2nd day

Fraud - The link sent to me never activated. I had to purchase an audio tour elsewhere. Despite day-long contact with Viator customer ‘care’—they refused to issue a refund. Will NEVER use them again.
