This excursion is brought to you by a local resident.
You’ll have the opportunity to discover Zurich’s least known attractions during this two-hour walking tour. The initial stop is a covert medieval tunnel hidden behind an almost imperceptible, locked door. It’s so subtly placed that even long-term Zurich residents are frequently unaware of its existence.
We’ll then visit the only surviving portion of the 13th-century city wall along with the city’s original water supply system, ingeniously concealed in the basement of a contemporary structure.
Our quest will proceed through a concealed entrance located on the floor of a popular park. Thousands of pedestrians traverse this spot daily, oblivious to the hidden gateway. Descending through this portal, you’ll come across the historical boundaries of a Roman fortification and the Royal Castle from the Middle Ages!
