Kutaisi - Zugdidi - Enguri Dam - Mazeri

Kutaisi - Depart from Kutaisi in the morning for an enchanting journey to the mountains.

Zugdidi - Pause in Zugdidi, located in the Samegrelo region, for refreshments. After a brief break, continue the journey to the mountains.

Inguri Dam - Stop at the Enguri Dam, renowned as one of the tallest dams globally.

Mazeri - Arrive in the afternoon at the village of Mazeri, nestled at the base of the magnificent Mt. Ushba.

Shdugra Waterfall - Embark on an easy to moderate hike to Shdugra Waterfall, with minimal elevation gain. The final kilometer is slightly more challenging, covering a total of 4 km round trip.

Mestia - Transfer to Mestia for an overnight stay at a selected guesthouse or hotel.

Mestia - Explore the old town of Mestia, surrounded by Svan defense towers, and hear fascinating stories and legends about Svaneti.

Hatsvali Ski Lift - Take the ski lift from the center of Mestia and enjoy the stunning panorama of the Caucasian mountains.

Margiani’s House Museum - Visit an Ethnographic house-museum or Mountaineering museum along the way.

Kutaisi - After lunch, depart for Kutaisi, returning by nightfall.

Explore mountain villages on this 2-day or 3-day tour from Kutaisi! You will be going off-road for part of the trip to Ushguli, one of Europe’s highest continuously inhabited villages. Imagine, 200 people spending harsh winters at 2100m., totally isolated from the world. You’ll go there by 4x4 vehicle on the picturesque mountain road, will hike to the Skhara Glacier near Ushguli village, and stay overnight in Mestia. The next day you will come back to Kutaisi.
