Istanbul Islamic and Sahabe Tour

Istanbul - After breakfast at 08:30, guests will embark on the Istanbul Islamic and Sahabe Tour. Istanbul has been a religious center for centuries. Following the Ottoman period, the Islamic religion spread throughout the city. The first mosque in Istanbul was constructed in Kadikoy on the Asian side, conquered by the Ottoman Turks in 1353. On the European side, the first mosque was built within Rumeli Castle in 1452. The first grand mosque in the city proper is the Eyup Sultan Mosque (1458). Adjacent to Eyup Sultan Mosque, visitors will explore the tombs of the Sahabe, renowned in Turkey as the first generation of Muslims who reached Istanbul and besieged the city. The small Sahabe Cemetery just outside Egrikapi Gate may appear as a typical Muslim cemetery.

Istanbul - Bursa Tour

Bursa - After breakfast at 07:30 am, guests will depart from the hotel and drive to Bursa for a guided day tour. The tour includes visits to Bursa’s famous Islamic heritage sites, such as Ulucamii (Great Mosque), Cumalikizik Village, Green Mosque, Green Tomb, and Ozdilek Factory. After the Bursa City tour, guests will return to Istanbul for an overnight stay.

Istanbul City Tour

Istanbul - Guests will be picked up at 08:30 am from their hotel for a daily tour of old Istanbul city. The tour includes a visit to TOPKAPI PALACE, the grand palace of the Ottoman sultans from the 15th to the 19th centuries, featuring a remarkable collection of crystal, silver, and Chinese porcelain, robes worn by the sultans and their families, the renowned jewels of the Imperial Treasury, miniatures, and the Holy Mantle, which enshrines relics of the Prophet Mohammed. The SULTANAHMET IMPERIAL MOSQUE, located across from St. Sophia and built in the 16th century by architect Mehmet, is known as the BLUE MOSQUE due to its stunning interior decoration of blue Iznik tiles. The HIPPODROME, an ancient site of chariot races, features three monuments: the Obelisk of Theodosius, the bronze Serpentine Column, and the Column of Constantine. A lunch break is scheduled for 13:00 pm. After lunch, Murtis Tour will guide guests to the Grand Spice Bazaar, offering a unique atmosphere and reasonable prices for shopping.

Istanbul - End of Tour
