Temple and show awesome, tour guide not so much - So Philae Temple at night was beautiful. Taking the boat out on the Nile to get to the temple was awesome. My problem was with my guide. All he did was buy me the ticket and then wait for me after the show was going on. He didn't really guide me anywhere. That would have been ok, but then the next thing I know he's hitting me up for work off the books of the company. He's wanting to take me on separate tours the next day. I essentially said no, but he kept harassing me even the next day. When I capitulated and said I would be happy at least with a ride to the airport, he quoted me $65 for a trip that costs $30. Not cool. Anyways I don't blame the tour company. The guide should not be badgering customers though for additional tour work and then quoting some exorbitant fee for a ride to the airport when the previous night he said it would cost about $20.
