• Waikato Region - Leaving Auckland, travel south through the breathtaking Waikato countryside, the largest farming area globally. Enjoy stunning landscapes, powerful rivers, excellent photo opportunities, beautiful mountains, and various farm animals along the route. The journey passes through Taupiri, which features many culturally significant sites, including local Maori burial grounds and cultural totem poles.
• Pirongia - After traversing the lush countryside and learning about local history and the New Zealand Land Wars, stop in this charming little town for a quick coffee break.
• Otorohanga - The adventure continues into Otorohanga, “The Kiwiana capital of New Zealand.” Experience all things Kiwi as you pass through this unique and delightful town.
• Waitomo Glowworm Caves - Upon arrival at the first major attraction, enjoy a guided tour through the ancient and remarkable caves, observing various cave formations such as Stalactites, Stalagmites, and Lime Columns before descending further underground for the Glowworm experience. Board the glow-worm boat for a cruise on the grotto river with thousands of Glowworms sparkling above. • Te Puia - At the second major destination, Te Puia, receive a fully guided tour to experience the geothermal and cultural wonders, including: Pōhutu Geyser, Māori Architecture, The National Māori Arts School, geothermal craters, geothermal events, and even the opportunity to see a Kiwi bird in the Kiwi viewing house.
• Rotorua - Conclude the Rotorua experience with a guided driving tour of the most famous sites in Rotorua city, including: Lake Rotorua, Rotorua Museum, Government Gardens, Whangapipiro (Rachel Spring), and the Blue Baths.
