Highlights
  • Parc National de la Suisse Saxonne - Kick off your adventure with a seamless pick-up from your Dresden hotel at a pre-arranged time. Settle into our comfortable air-conditioned minivan and let our knowledgeable and friendly guides take you on an unforgettable journey through the heart of Saxon Switzerland National Park. As you cruise along the scenic route, prepare to be captivated by the breathtaking landscapes and fascinating insights shared by our guides. Brace yourself for an adventure filled with natural wonders, breathtaking views, and unforgettable memories.
  • Bastei Bridge - Experience Bastei, the crown jewel of Saxon Switzerland!
Explore several breathtaking viewpoints, among which the most stunning overlooks the Elbe Canyon, the largest sandstone canyon in Europe. From a height of 190 meters above the river, behold the beauty of Saxon Switzerland National Park - the table mountains of Lilienstein and Königstein with its impregnable fortress.

Then walk across this magnificent Bridge perched high above the river Elbe. This awe-inspiring landmark holds the distinction of being the first tourist attraction in the region, constructed in 1851 to connect the rocky peaks with Neurathen Fortress. Prepare to be marveled by its architectural wonder!

  • Neurathen Castle - Explore the magnificent Neurathen Fortress, a medieval marvel nestled in the sandstone cliffs. Prepare to be mesmerized by yet another stunning perspective of the Bastei Bridge, and the surrounding valley with forest theater.

But Neurathen holds more than stunning views! Get ready to travel back in time. We’ll uncover archaeological treasures hinting at a surprising past, when this region was submerged beneath a vast sea millions of years ago.

  • Bohemian Switzerland National Park - After exploring Bastei Bridge and Neurathen Fortress, we’ll embark on a scenic drive through the Elbe River Canyon to the Czech side of the National Park - Bohemian Switzerland.

Our route will wind its way through charming villages Bad Schandau and Hřensko, allowing us to soak up the beauty of the region’s architecture. We’ll also keep an eye out for the historical elevator to the observation tower, a Guinness World Record holder.

  • Pravcicka brana - Sokoli hnizdo - The 2km hike navigates us to the Pravcicka Gate. Approaching it from below, you will see the majesty with which it stands at the top of the surrounding landscape. It is the symbol of the Bohemian Swizerland National Park and you will know why, once you see it.
  • Mezná - After a demanding hike, you need to recharge your batteries, so the next stop will be a traditional Czech and locally renowned restaurant. A rich “a la carte” lunch will be a welcome and well-deserved reward. Traditional Czech and international dishes are served (including vegetarian options). We highly recommend trying Czech beer, which is one of the best in the world. This restaurant is very popular with the locals and has the best reputation in Bohemian Switzerland. We are always very welcome at this restaurant and we have a pre-booked table in the best place that will be waiting for you ready before our arrival. In addition, we have an advantage over other guests in the kitchen, so the wait for food is significantly shorter.
  • Wild Gorge - Descend into the enchanting Kamenice Gorge and embark on a scenic boat ride with a ferryman. Take a leisurely stroll along a picturesque trail through the first zone of the national park, surrounded by towering rock formations and lush greenery. Glide along the tranquil waters of the river and immerse yourself in the breathtaking scenery as you experience the serenity of this hidden gem of Bohemian Switzerland.
  • Dresden - After an amazing day exploring Bohemian and Saxon Switzerland, we’ll head back to Dresden for a relaxing ride. Chat with fellow adventurers, share your favorite photos, and unwind after a day of adventure. We’ll arrive back in Dresden comfortably, ensuring a perfect ending to your unforgettable trip.

Great trip - Great experience and well coordinated tour. While the assigned vehicle had some problem, Milan was proactive to arrange an alternate vehicle on the way. Highly recommended the service of Saxon Tours. Kudos to tour guide Thomas who accompanied us all throughout. Barua and Das family

A trip of wow's - We where picked up at our rented apartment by minibus, the driver was a few minuttes late, but he sent an sms informing us, which we think is a nice service. We then went to bastei Skywalk, where we met up with our guides. They were very welcoming and informative on the surroundings, which where absolutely breath talking and leading the first in a long row of wow's (as in WOW look at that!). Then we were driven to the Pravčická Archway.  There is a aproximately 3 km walk up to the site which is a little demanding but  the guides made sure no one got left behind. More wow's at the top and a well deserved drink. After the walk down, we then went to a local restaurant where we had a delightful lunch. Last stop was the Tiské stěny which was just as beautiful as the first 2 stops, before being driven back to the doorstep of our rented apartment. The day was a very hot one but all through the tour, the guides and our driver made sure we had water and snacks. We had an absolutely wonderful day! Special thanks to our driver Phillip, from who we learned a lot about everyday life in the Czech Republic during the drive! We give this the best reccomandations we can!

Walking in the mysterious German and Czech national parks itinerary - I thought the trip was well done. Drive a minibus to pick up and drop off each guest at the hotel. There is a lot to see and hear about history on this trip. The tour guide Jitka gave very detailed explanations. If you are looking for a nature-related itinerary, I suggest you give it a try. Try typical Czech traditional cuisine for lunch.

Beautiful sights with Joe - Amazing views even with low visibility. I had a friendly driver, Milan, who picked me up from my accommodation in Dresden on time and had water available - he also dropped me back after the tour was over. The guide, Joe, was very knowledgeable sharing his passion of the area with us. Lunch was amazing with authentic Czech cuisine. Overall, very enjoyable and hassle free

Bastei and Tisa Labyrinth - Although I booked this trip we were transferred to a similar trip without the Pravicka Gate as we were told it was closed. Neurathan Castle was also closed. We really enjoyed the Tisa Labyrinth. There was still snow in the gullies. This made it an extra special experience. The lunch was delicious. Lucy, our guide was very flexible. All in all it was a great day.
