Both Begzsuren and his spouse, Mungunsoyombo, inherited their culinary skills at a young age from their respective families. Mungunsoyombo’s knowledge on traditional food has been enriched by her background in nutritional studies, leading her to make healthier versions of the dishes. They inhabit a customary Ger house in Ulaanbaatar’s suburban area with their trio of children. A Ger house is an indigenous, minimal, relocatable, and round-shaped tent blanketed with felt, typically found as an abode in Central Asia. You’ll be warmly received by Begzsuren, Mungunsoyombo and their children with a cup of hot herbal tea made from nettles freshly picked by Begzsuren from a herb garden.
