Highlights
  • Europa Hotel - We depart from Belfast City Center, from the bus shelter in front of the famous Europa Hotel, on Great Victoria street at 9.45 am. Begin the journey in the company of your 100% Irish guide and your fellow travel partners for today, we’ll get to know each other and have our charming guide set the scene as we take the drive through the rolling farmland of county Antrim to the North Coast of Ireland - an area of outstanding natural beauty.
  • The Dark Hedges - We visit the most popular natural phenomena in Northern Ireland, the Dark Hedges. The trees were planted in the 18th century by the Stuart family to impress their guests upon arrival to their house. Most of you will recognize the Dark Hedges as King’s Road from the hit TV series Game of Thrones. It is a wonderful photo-stop and an opportunity to be a part of a real life set!
  • Causeway Coastal Route - We make our way to the Causeway Coast where we can see fine views of Rathlin Island, and on a clear day we may even see the Scottish coast 13 miles away. The views along this coastline are spectacular, no wonder it is one of the most visited destinations in Europe!
  • Giant’s Causeway - The Giant’s Causeway is the highlight of this trip for most! Built by the Irish giant Fionn and his Scottish rival Angus, it is a real masterpiece formed of perfectly shaped hexagonal columns. Your tour guide shall tell you more about the Causeway, and the legends of the area.

The entrance fee for the visitor centre is not included as the UNESCO World Heritage Site is actually completely free of charge to the public. Based on years of guest feedback our guests prefer to have the best possible value price for the overall tour and then can make individual decisions locally as to whether they wish to access the adjacent visitor centre for a fee at the door.

  • Dunluce Castle - We arrive at one of the most dramatic castle ruins in the world for a 1 hour stop, prepare to be amazed at the way this old castle hangs over the edge of the cliffs. Part of the Dunluce Castle fell into the sea in the 1600’s, and some servants died in the tragedy. Since that time, it is believed to be haunted by the unfortunate servants. Take some impressive photos before we leave the coast and make our way to Belfast.
  • Europa Hotel - Arrive back in Belfast safe and well around 05:00pm in downtown Belfast, your thirst for knowledge quenched and of course you can now say to all your friends that the top attractions in Northern Ireland are now crossed off your list!

Fabulous Experience to the Causeway - Wonderful trip up the coast. Richard, our driver, brought the country side and the history of Ireland to life. The bus was both clean and comfortable even completely full. Dunluce Castle ruins were fascinating and picturesque. The Giant’s Causeway was extraordinary. I’d do this trip again in a moment.

Stunning Irish coast tour - The tour of the coast was absolutely stunning! Melissa was very friendly and explained well the history of various places throughout the day and Ian safely drove for the day. There was sufficient time at each stop to explore and take pictures. Also appreciated the lunch stop option

The causeway was... - The causeway was wonderful. The guide was very personable, but did not provide sufficient history (especially Dunluce castle), general information and directions. Waiting in the rain and not sure exactly where the bus was going to be was not pleasant. A half hour for lunch was not enough.

Your cut short as driver wanted to get off early - Giants Causeway. Take your NT members cards and ignore the drivers advice and do go into the visitors centre

Make it 30 min longer - The tour was so fast pace. We had to run to catch our tour bus. It finished earlier than planned. Especially the dark hedges stop. We only had 25 min and going to the attraction site itself took 15 minutes !!! Are they expecting us to fly?
