Beginning from your accommodation, this private tour of Berlin kicks off at the splendid Reichstag building, a fixture of German history for a long time.
Venture next to the expansive Pariser Platz and the iconic Brandenburg Gate — formerly a representation of Germany’s division, but currently a national emblem of peace and unity.
Then, journey to the poignant Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe, before walking by the overlooked, unlabelled location of Hitler’s bunker. Journey along a preserved portion of the Wall to the Topography of Terror museum. A tour of Berlin would be incomplete without stopping by Checkpoint Charlie — the most famous passage point between East and West Berlin during the Cold War.
You’ll subsequently move on to the Gendarmenmarkt, considered the most stunning square in Berlin, and proceed along Bebelplatz, past the memorial for the Nazi book burning and the renovated State Opera.
Lastly, wrap up at Museum Island, a premier museum site in Europe.
