An Excellent Way To See Two Highly Rated Snorkeling Spots With One Excursion - We wanted to visit both Pu'uhonua O Honaunau and Kealakekua Bay, and Sea Quest was one of the few tour companies that offered both together with one tour. We enjoyed every minute. Natalie was an entertaining and well informed captain, and Ashley was always willing to lend a helping hand. We were kept well fed with snacks and lunch after each snorkel while Natalie would tell us interesting stories and information. In addition to our two snorkeling spots we saw lava tubes and sea caves. I've seen sea caves before, but not like these. I could have spent all day just viewing all of the different sea caves. Our 4.5 hour excursion just flew by and everyone left happy.

Morning Snorkel on The Big Island -- Fish, Sea Turtles, Coral, and Dolphins, Oh My! - We loved this tour! Not only did we see beautiful fish and coral, but we also saw a sea turtle, and ate a wonderful lunch with a pod of spinner dolphins. I know they don't advertise lunch with the dolphins, but we were lucky enough to be at Captain Cooks when the dolphins showed up to frolic in the water! Because the boats are smaller we were able to see sea caves, lava tubes, and crabs up close and personal. The captain and crew provided great information on the area and sea life, all of the provided equipment worked well, and their tips were super helpful. We are so glad we booked this tour and felt we received more than our money's worth. Do yourself a favor and choose this company. You won't be disappointed with attention to detail and service.

Incredible, amazing day! - WOW, probably the best snorkeling experience ever, worldwide. Captain Brendan, (deck hand, lunch server, historian) was a wealth of knowledge about Hawaii, fish species etc. and made our trip comfortable and exciting. The two snorkel spots were teaming with fish and colourful coral. Delicious snacks were served after each swim and the lunch was wonderful. Thank you Brendan for an incredible experience.

Amazing snorkeling day - We had an amazing time with captain Calvin. We saw so many wonderful sights and sea creatures, the water so clear that is easy to see all the colorful coral and beautiful fish. We also found 2 sea tortoises swimming but no luck to see dolphin.

Great snorkeling trip! - This is the second time we’ve taken this tour, first on our own and then this time we were excited to bring my in-laws. Captain Brendan and crew Libby gave us plenty of time in the water at two different sites, and took great care of us. Captain Brendan gave us a great tour of sea caves on the way back, shared some Hawaiian history and mythology, and paused to hang out for a fantastic display by some spinner dolphins in the bay. Excellent day all around!

Pilot Whale Experience - Lauren was an amazing captain of our little raft boat!! We left the harbor and she took us off shore. She spotted a pod of pilot whales and got us right in the path they were heading! Shut the engines of and we just floated as they swam by!! The snorkeling locations were great with a lot of variety of fish!! We also got drinks and snacks!! Great day on the water!!

Great snorkeling tour! - Great tour and experience. Within five minutes, we saw a pod of dolphins right off the bay. Our tour guides were excellent and stopped every now and again to give us information about the coastline and the Big Island, we especially loved seeing the caves up close. The first snorkel spot was excellent, we were only one of two boats there. We are glad we picked a tour with two snorkel spots as this was our favorite of the two and less frequented. Captain Cook was also good in terms of snorkeling, but we prefer the first spot as the coral seemed untouched. My eight year-old son, who we were concerned would not go snorkeling, was very comfortable getting in with the encouragement and patience of the team. They provided snacks, fruit, and lunch. We had a fantastic experience. Would highly recommend.

Amazing snorkeling trip for all ages! - This was an amazing snorkel trip! From the reservation process (Annie) to check-in (Kayla) to the actual excursion, everyone was friendly, courteous and professional. We brought our 11 year old granddaughter and she pronounced it her ‘most fun’ excursion. Our captain, Brendan, and crew, MJ, were phenomenal. They anticipated everything we needed before we knew we needed it. They were so great with our grand who was snorkeling for the first time (and also great with her 65 year old grandparents!) The small size of their tour groups (11 on our trip) enabled them to know our names and give everyone specialized attention. The sites they took us to snorkel were like swimming in an aquarium, so many different kinds of fish! Everything about this trip was first class! Will definitely do this again when we bring our next grandchild.

Fantastic fish, captains, and lunch - The two snorkeling sites were more than wonderful with so many different and gorgeous fish (and other sea creatures). Captains Brendan and Lauren were great - helpful, knowledgeable, experienced, and really pleasant people. Our family of 5, youngest was 16, had a great time. I chose the premium tour because of the lunch. It was needed and hit the spot after the water time. Was really great to have lunch on the boat after the great snorkeling. Best part was amazing fish!

Stick with the Premium Tour - We originally booked the Premium Kona Morning Snorkel with SeaQuest, but the day before, they informed us that there were no other bookings for our tour. They offered us a free "upgrade" to the South Kona Expedition, which we accepted since we wanted to go out on our scheduled day and it seemed like a good alternative. While this upgrade added a third snorkeling stop, it wasn't as impressive as Kealakekua Bay and Pu’uhonua O Honaunau. The additional stop also meant more time on a bumpy boat ride, reducing the time spent at the two best snorkeling spots. I wish we could have done the original tour. Despite this, I still recommend the company and we had a great experience with Captain Steve. However, be aware that the boat ride can be rough—I ended up with a massive bruise on my lower back/upper hip from the bench seat. Sitting on the edge of the boat might help prevent this. Although I specifically asked about the ride being bumpy and was told it wouldn’t be, it was quite jarring. If you're okay with that, SeaQuest is a good choice, but next time, I’ll opt for a smoother ride.
