Fantastic! Magical! - We loved our manta ray snorkel trip! I couldn’t believe the experience…both getting so close to the rays and seeing so many. The guides and captain were great…especially when our kids got a little scared. All in all, a magical experience! Special shout out to Noah and Cami!

Night Manta Ray Experience - We did the night Manta Experience, and it was amazing! The staff were friendly and explained everything well. We had four rays feeding right in front of us the entire time. One thing to note is that parking is very limited, and traffic on HWY-19 builds up south of the city during rush hour, so if you're coming from the north, you might want to leave a little early.

Surreal experience with 7 manta rays! - Why choose Sea Quest? First their staff are amazing! Marlien, Sydney, Kevin, John, Rick, Kayla, Nick!!! (Those are who we were lucky enough to deal personally with). Second, they have an office / location to stage and hang out in advance and after your adventure. This puts them above and beyond. There is a sheltered place to sit and relax both before and after, as well as a secure place to store your additional items. The care and customer service are the reason we chose to spend a little more money than the other options available out there. I am sure the others are great, but they also work out of temporary set ups (back of a van, small tent, standing around in a parking lot). Very happy that with Sea Quest we had plenty of options for wet suit (type and size), prescription masks if required (no extra charge), hot chocolate/tea/ginger ale and cookies afterward. Option for go pro. Very knowledgeable, respectful (both to humans and manta rays) and friendly staff. Just head and shoulders above the others. Highly recommend this incredible experience with manta rays at night. We had quite a show from 7 beautiful rays. Spectacular!!!

Excellent tour operator - The night manta event was my fourth tour with SeaQuest Hawaii over the last few visits to the Big Island. The tour itself was amazing - at one point there were 7 manta rays in view. SeaQuest sets itself apart with the friendliness and skill of their people, the quality of equipment, and their overall preparation and professionalism. Beautiful and clean dockside facility is a real plus. Won't use anyone else when we're in the Kona area!

Excellent adventure. - Excellent experience. We were so well cared for by extremely knowledgeable guides, and the mantas put on a great show for us. We met Amanda and Jana (the rays) up close and personal. Great evening!

Experience of a lifetime - No way to sugar coat this: This was one of the most amazing experiences of my (so far long and eventfu) life. The mantas MOBBED us. We counted 12 at one point, though there were probably more. Our guides were knowledgable and helpful. My wife had to return to the boat early and she told me the captain gave her lots of great manta information, too. And there was hot chocolate after!

Gentle Giants in Kona - Our crew joined Sea Quest for the manta rays snorkel in early December. Our Captain Brendan, in water crew Noah and Kayla, and deck hand Jackson were fantastic. They told us great stories and facts about the mantas and the area. Noah took great care of my family in the water, and Kayla was hilarious! The stars of the show were as always, the gentle giants in the sea, the manta rays. We saw several during our time in the water, including them getting up close and personal while feeding directly under us. This is such a unique experience and you should not miss it! We'd highly recommend doing this tour with the Sea Quest crew.

Great fun EN/JP - EN/JP Thank you to Kapono and Kaleo (and the rest of the crew) for a great evening swimming with the manta rays. PSA for the people considering this: 1. Do it. lol. It was so fun. 2. Parking, I’d argue, is the more important obstacle to consider. You may have to park a little walk away…again, that’s the worst part of this review. 3. The waiver says to be knowledgeable about snorkeling and swimming…they help to know, but, I suggest knowing how to float on your stomach is a better skill to have. 3.1. Everyone is always holding onto the same flotation device and given a noodle, that you put near your ankles, to keep you floating horizontally in your stomach. Too many people couldn’t keep their feet horizontally in the surface, and it could harm the manta rays and the other people in the tour. Trust the process and keep your head down and your head in the water for everyone’s sake. 4. The crew was so knowledgeable and attentive. Sharing facts about the manta rays and doing a check-in’s with all of us. The noticed one of my friends was going to be ill before they knew, and immediately remedied it. 5. Bring warm and dry clothes to change into. The wetsuits are great, but also…you’re going to be wet and coming off the ocean after being in the ocean for an hour…you’ll be cold and while they offer refreshments after the tour… nothing felt better than warm clothes.
