Setting Sail from Blue Bay

The day began with a bit of a hiccup, as our driver arrived earlier than expected, a mix-up with the agency’s timing. But hey, island time is a real thing, and I was in no rush. After a short drive to the dock, we found ourselves waiting under the blazing sun, sans shade or water. It was a test of patience, but soon enough, we were whisked away to another dock where our speedboat awaited.

Our skipper was a breath of fresh sea air—full of jokes, sunscreen reminders, and a playlist that set the perfect vibe for our adventure. As we sped off, the wind in my hair and the ocean spray on my face, I felt that familiar thrill of being on the water, a feeling that never gets old.

Snorkeling and Island Hopping

The Grand River South East Waterfalls were a sight to behold. Monkeys played on the banks, and the water teemed with fish. It was a quick stop, but the beauty of the falls and the playful wildlife left a lasting impression.

Finally, we arrived at Ile aux Cerfs, a bustling hub of activity with its soft white sands and azure waters. The island was alive with energy, and I couldn’t resist a stroll through the shops, picking up a few souvenirs to remember the day.
