Fantastic time - Had a lovely day visiting Newport with Lucia as our knowledgeable and friendly guide. It took less time than I expected to get to Newport (I think because we had quite a small group and only two hotel pickups) - so Lucia made the time to also show us some extra interesting places along the way, including at Fall River. Breakers Mansion was a great experience but I particularly loved just experiencing the town itself - we had a good amount of time to have lunch and walk around - what a gorgeous cool place. Highly recommend it! (Although beware Lucia’s bad Dad-jokes 😂) All in all a wonderful memorable day out.

Fantastic Trip to Newport - The day trip to Newport to visit the mansions was much better than I expected! The most memorable part of the trip was walking through The Breakers to experience the opulence of the Gilded Age firsthand. Our bus driver was entertaining and kind. I would recommend this trip to anyone.

Take the Walk Back in Time - I absolutely loved this tour. We started out on a wet late May morning which delayed us a bit with traffic and weather. Our guide was good about texting us about delays. Yes, we had grumblers but a quick stop at a rest stop and coffee changed the atmosphere of my fellow riders. Dunkin’ Donuts for the win. Coach, our guide, was great. He even took a couple slow side exits to show us extra sights like Veteran’s Park and Lizzie Borden’s house. The Cliff Walk was breath-taking and the two mansions we toured incredible. Coach was terrific at sharing and identifying homes along our route. Our own time was plenty of time for lunch, shopping and walking about. The light morning and afternoon snacks and water were appreciated. Most importantly, Couch welcomed us all with a smile and made us feel like a little family. This tour scored a ten for me.

Fun day trip from Boston - This was a fun activity. I love history and I like looking at period buildings. The driver was professional and very entertaining. As the properties are tricky to get to by public transport from Boston, I felt that I got good value for money.

Great Tour - Leaving from Boston with a few surprises on the way. I won’t tell you the surpises but have your camera ready. We were dropped off at the cliff walk and walked to the Breakers for our tour. You can go through at your own pace and get about an hour here which was plenty to go through the house and go out to the yard. Next stop was downtown Newport for shopping and lunch. There are many restaurants to choose from. We went to the wharf area. After lunch we visited the Marble house for about an hour. Both mansions were owned by the vanderbilts. Mansions were stunning and we felt we had enough time to see them. Our guide, Coach was great and drove us past the other mansions and gave us some interesting history and stories from the area. This trip is definitely worth taking.

Interesting tour - Coach was a great tour guide, who provided us with lots of information both on the drive down and when we were driving around RI. The experience was marred by broken seats on the bus, which meant I had to sit in the wheel arch seat which is extremely comfortable on such a long drive

Loved the mansions/homes in Newport. Very pretty area. - Loved the mansions and Newport RI. Bus driver knowledgeable about areas. Didn’t care for the mini bus ride there and back. Roads are terrible and you feel every bump. Suggest Viator review the bus for replacement of the shocks. The worse I’ve experienced.

Rushed Tour/Snarky Guide/Do NOT recommend - If you want to RUSH through the Breakers and Marble House, you might be happy. We found the driver/guide's dry sense of humor unpleasant. We were told we have ONE hour at the Breakers and the Marble House when the site states two hours. Our guide didn't drop us off for lunch/shopping in Newport near the areas other reviewers mention. We were dropped off on the complete opposite part of town. There was NO way to tour the Tennis Hall of Fame. We quickly drove past St Mary's church were JFK and Jackie were married. Someone on us bus said they walked to try to see it, but found it was closed. The guide should have known this and told them. i also felt horrible when two hispanic women on the bus asked the driver about Spanish translation as this IS listed on the site. He rudely brushed them off and said, "No. No Spanish. This is an English tour." He SHOULD have kindly told them that in the houses they could pick up descriptions in Spanish. This guy didn't care. Do yourself a favor: rent a car and tour the homes and Newport on your own. That's what we will do next time. I booked this thinking it would be easier for my husband to get around, but don't make that mistake! This was a rush rush tour.
