Worth the Wait! - The whole cast and employees were very kind and helpful! I read the book several times and have been wanting to visit Matt's cabin for many years. It was well worth the wait!

Excellent - Actors did an excellent job of reenacting the book. My boys especially enjoyed Ollie whom they said they hadn't liked in the book. In the drama he was hilarious. An inspirational drama.

Lots of walking to an action-packed performance - We loved the performance and had excellent seats. The staff who helped were very friendly and helpful. The biggest negatives were the need to exchange our digital tickets for paper, and the very long walk from parking; tram service would be a great improvement.

A BRANSON TRADITION - Very good show. A bit too thematic for young children (gunfire, ghost, blood). A wonderful production of the novel. The weather in October was perfect!

Nice Production Show - There are a lot of characters taking part in the show. We enjoyed seeing the horses and sheep running by. The only negative was the storyline. It was hard for us to follow along especially with how the characters were related to each other.

Drama too long - The dinner was good but the Show was too long. If they didn’t have the intermission it would have been so much better. The actors did a great job. We just sat too long.

Not what it used to be. - While it was once something to see this place is way past its prime. It’s looking run down and tired. While I think the story had a large draw for visitors in the past I don’t think the younger generation are interested. If you didn’t read the book, which I didn’t, it’s hard to understand what the play is about. We also did the bbq dinner bash before and the food left a lot to be desired. My wife came here over 30 years ago and said unfortunately it’s not what it used to be. I was hoping I would really enjoy it and want to bring my grandkids but they would not enjoy the show. They would like the high ropes and zip lines but the high ropes course sun shades were ripped and hanging on the course. If they won’t keep up with that it made us wonder what other maintenance they were lax on. We also did the farm tour. Even though our guide was good the tour was not worth what we spent either. It was too long.

Huh....? 😳 - We enjoyed the pre-show and intermission entertainment, but the actual show was a struggle. Spent way too much mental stress trying to follow. Especially the first half. My wife pulled up the plot for me to read during intermission and it didn't help. I feel bad for the cast because I personally feel they have an impossible task. There wasn't much crowd reaction during the play, whereas the crowd involvement during the hoedown intermission was great! They have a great venue, but need a new Western drama or comedy for their talented cast to perform.

Hmmmm, at least I read the book to halfway figure out the production ... - SOTH and trip advisor didn't play well for us. No record of our booking caused embarrassing delay at the ticket counter and even more embarrassing extra payment that we assumed was taken care of through TripAdvisor. The BBQ dinner was bland. The music show outshine the food. The production lacked volume and a staid set where nearly EVERYTHING took place in one location. Lighting could have been better. I'd only recommend this to folks who are VERY familiar with the SOTH story, otherwise, it's not worth the expense.
