Amazing tour with great guide - Ali was an amazing guide! I booked this tour mainly because of the reviews I read about her. She was so passionate about the stories she told us, very animated and very funny! She also related it to personal stories which made it even more interesting. Every story she told was very interesting and sparked my interest to come back to Bucharest again in the near future to explore more of these traditions, beliefs and rituals. This tour was very worth it!!!

Disappointing, waste of money and time - We've decided to do this tour since we've already been to quite a few ghost tours throughout Europe. We have always enjoyed those, so we thought that experiencing this kind of tour in Bucharest in October should be just perfect. Unfortunately, this was not the case. We met the guide and we were happy that he spoke English quite well. However, he said pretty soon that he wouldn't believe in any supernatural and that all of the stories are easily rationally explained. This put me off as we, of course, do not believe in ghosts, but usually, we enjoy having a little spooky atmosphere when it comes to such tours and topics. The guide made an impression of trying to be "cool," which (for us) of killed the vibe. Instead of 2 hours, the tour took 2.5 hours, which I usually wouldn't mind. We kept around because we hoped it would improve, but it never did. 2 couples left the tour earlier, and I envy them for that. We paid almost 30 euro per person, which is waaaay too much for this poor experience. E.g. he would tell us about Dracula, Vlad the impaler, and even then not even try to make it creepy or spooky but rather turning it into some kind of psychology lesson. I mean, it's clear that what he did was horrible, but I did not come to this tour to have the obvious things explained to me. We hoped for mythology and legends, which unfortunately were cut very short. He told us about witches, which was very interesting but unfortunately also quite confusing due to the way he spoke. Throughout the tour, we felt like there was no logical trail of thought or stories, which made it even harder to follow. So yes, it was very disappointing, not worth the money and time at all. I do believe Bogdan could do well at this but it would be better if he distanced himself from this cringe "I'm too cool for this" attitude and maybe just gives his guests a spooky tour (which a ghost tour is supposed to be?!) And not a school like experience. To put it into perspective, we spent a day tour in transilvania and the guide would tell us way more about the legends, mythology and creepy stories in a much more pleasant and entertaining way, despite it not being a ghost tour.
