Great tour - Great tour and very informative, and good value considering the ticket also includes a walking tour and boat tour. However it is a shame the walking tour was only at one time of the day so I was unable to attend.

Great sightseeing in Budapest - Excellent frequent service around the city sights. Recommend you do the full circuit to start with (90mins), then plan your days. We got a great deal- 3 days travel for price of one plus the boat trip on the river. Buy you tickets from the local vendors on the street- look out for their red umbrellas City Sightseeing Budapest! We met some interesting people on the buses.

great way to explore Budapest - City Sightseeing Budapest Hop on Hop off bus What a great way to explore Budapest and get around. Purchased a 72 hour ticket Sept 28, and was able to see so much of Budapest. 2 different routes, and the buses come frequently for the Red line approx. every 15-20 minutes. The Green line comes about every hour. Loved being able to explore and get off anytime, and hop back on. So much to see and this option was very handy and convenient. Also felt very safe walking around on my own to explore before getting back on the buses. Found all the drivers friendly and great maneuvering the tight streets in some areas. I was able to purchase my ticket from my hotel front desk, but there are also staff at many of the bus stops whom you can purchase your bus tickets from.

They need to fix the English audio! - The buses and the cruise are well worth the price Budapest is an amazing city. I don’t know If I saw everything but I was awestruck. However I had to turn off the audio because it was nearly incomprehensible. Still. Take it!

Meh - Expensive for the bus, had to change to a different bus half way through which was really claustrophobic on the top deck due to the low roof. Sights were good but couldn't see them from the second bus. Commentary hard to hear and not in time with what we were seeing

Disappointed with HOHO. - The routes were confusing and didn't seem to align with the commentary which also was difficult to understand her accent in English. Another problem was that the bus stop announcements were not clear since the speakers were not working up top! Their accents and microphone for the most part were hard to hear. So overall, it was a frustrating experience! Also we knew to get earphones, but many people were sitting there without them. :(

Not worth it - walk or take the local transport options - I was assured this would be the easiest way to hit up all the main sights in Budapest. So we purchased 72hr tickets that included boat trips and the green line too. Positives - Gets you to all the main sights. - You get a good understanding of the city layout. Negatives - Only runs til 6 (ish) so you’re left walking back to hotels after this. - Some of the stops are incredibly difficult to find (very small faded posters) stop 17 was a nightmare!! - Not all stops on the route are in operation (Market Hall). - With the upper deck roof on (in 35 degree heat) the roof is extremely low - banged my head several times. - Green bus route - serviced by red buses - most confusing. - Boat tour - no commentary on outdoor deck plus it’s a very quick jaunt along the river. - The buses take breaks … so sometimes you are kicked off onto other vehicle (mainly at stop 9 Hero’s Square) or you just wait until they get going again. - No air con. - We had one bus that squealed and screeched and a cupboard door nearly opened and smacked by boyfriend in the face. Tread depth on some bus tyres probably wouldn’t pass UK MOT standards. - Tickets are not cheap. - Not that frequent - be prepared to wait 20 mins or more. The green line is only hourly. - Very busy and crowded. - Never even bothered with the bus audio guide. - Varying scanning of tickets policy … often just let you on regardless. Overall In hindsight, if it was just me … I’d have walked everywhere and not bothered with the HOHO buses.

Tourist trap - Here it is easy to walk in tourist fella. We did. Had already purchased Budapest card, but was "tricked" to buy tickets for this too. Totally unnecessary use of money. Be careful...

High price low performance - Naja... Actually, I don't write recessions. But I'll take the time to do that. You don't need to have expectations, then you're less disappointed. Many recessions are really true in the negative sense. Overcrowded bus, stops more than marked as bad or not at all. These are the public bus stations. Sometimes there is a flyer behind the public bus stations. That's it. Language-wise absolutely unusable. Sentences partly wrong and not in time. Nonsensical information. After about 30 minutes we had to leave the bus and change trains. That was actually positive, as we were able to get a seat.... There is no intercom in the upper deck or no function. In the lower area incomprehensible speakers. Boat tour halfway ok. Loudspeakers unusable due to passenger volume. Wifi on the ship did not work so no audio guide. Go eat and ride the subway, that's better money invested. To the operator - you don't need to bother answering me with a standard response. CHANGE SOMETHING!
