Architecture Highlights of Buenos Aires - Our family loved the architecture and palaces tour. Our daughter has almost completed her architecture studies and she very much appreciated the insight that Alexandra provided. The tour hit the highlights of Buenos Aires and also provided very good historical context. Alexandra was knowledgeable, funny, and personable. We appreciated the flexibility of the tour as well. We got dropped off in time to have a tour of the Colon Theatre. We would highly recommend this tour.

BA great place to visit and disregard the hype - Fabulous. No worries about the exchange rate use your credit card and the difference is not very much at all. Watch out for small shops (usually groceries shops) that add 10% to foreign credit cards. They tell you before hand so all legitimate. The place is very safe, I have not had any worries and no concerns. Take the obvious precautions you would in any European city. Really a very easy city recommend Palermo Hollywood as you can walk to so many places from there. Also, great restaurants on every street. You need cash for uber for most foreigners and tipping so bring some dollars and change here. If you are not a nomad worker recommend you spend 2 weeks BA and then some travel around.

Interesting buildings in Buenos Aires - We saw some interesting buildings that we would not have noticed (or for 3, explored the inside) without the guide. Julia was very knowledgeable about the history of the history or each building, as well as the history of the city. In addition to the specific buildings highlighted on the tour, she pointed out features and provided history of quite a few neighboring buildings. By the way, Viator listed this as a 4 hour tour, but the tour guide and the driver said they were hired for a 3 hour tour.

Eight story Building overlooking Leafy Plaza - This classic building, with its blend of old-world charm with modern function, was Designed by French architect Norbert Maillart in 1889. However, with no public funding, it was left on hold for twenty years until it received approval in 1904. Construction began in 1905, but it was not finished until 37 years later, in 1942. Occupying an entire city block, this Neoclassical–Eclectic style building, with its clean lines, elegant columns, and facade covered in imitation Paris, is now the home of the Supreme Court. It is free to enter the building , and on Fridays at 2:30 pm there is a Ninety-minute guided tours of the courts, but only in Spanish on Fridays. Upon entering, a large bronze statue represents Justice, the work of Argentine sculptor Rogelio Yrurtia; on the sides, you can see the crowns that represent the Tablets of the Law held by human figures. Inintéressant tour - We attended the tour to visit this building because there is not so much to do in the city. The Palacio Barolo is interesting to look at outside. Inside of the building there is really nothing special to see. And the tour took two hours to show the rundown and even dirty place. It was not worth to spend time for that. Climb to the top of building in the lighthouse you will get a panoramic view of the city which is not that beautiful but interesting. At the end of the tour included a glass of wine, but it’s took place in a small old office. Not on the nice terrace of the building. Why?
