Fantastic trek - Hands down one of my favorite treks I’ve ever done! The views were amazing, the accommodations were comfy and the food was good. Definitely worth the money for the guide too, he explained a lot about local culture, flora, and fauna that added a lot to the experience. Our guide Carlos was funny and very smart and did a great job at leading us through even with a big group with different levels of fitness. That being said, it’s definitely a tough hike, especially the first day on the descent make sure to properly warm up before you destroy your knees. Bamboo hiking sticks are 100% worth it at the top. Bring snacks, especially for the last day with no breakfast u til you climb out of the canyon. Bring lots of bug spray, the strongest kind you can find. I recommend covering as much skin as possible too and slathering the rest in strong sunscreen as the UV in this part of the world is no joke! Highly recommend though.

Great 3D/2N Trekking Tour with our guide Alex - We did the 3 Days/ 2 Nights tour and it was a great experience. Everything was organized very well. We got picked up at our hotel and our driver was very responsible. We did the tour in a group of 8 and our great guide Alex (if you go with him you are very lucky 😊). He allowed everyone to go on in his own pace and never rushed any one. He also explained a lot during our time there so that we could learn new things. The food during the tour was also very good (especially for avocado lovers, as they grow them in the canon and therefore there was a lot of avocado on the plates). We highly recommend this tour provider as we are very happy with our Colca Cañon experience. Gracias Alex!

Unforgettable experience - The views were beautiful and our guide Alex was really great and very kind. He spoke English and taught us a lot about plants and animals in the area. The 3-day trek allows you to enjoy the river on the first day and the superb pool of the oasis on the second. With the 2-day trek you arrive mid-afternoon at the oasis and the canyon is very quickly in the shade, then the rhythm of the first day is very sustained not really time to enjoy the scenery so if you have time prefer 3 days. We really loved this trek it will remain one of our best memories of Peru so go for it!

3D/2N Colca Canyon trekking trip - We had a great time doing the 3D/2N trekking trip through the Colca Canyon. We were only a small group (4 people), so we had plenty of time to interact with our guide Jorge. He was so knoledgeable and spoke a great english. We did not only learn about the former and current importance of the canyon, but we also got great insights into medicinal plants, life in Peru, music and traditions. Also, he adapted great to our individual needs and never gave us the feeling we had to move on if we needed a break - thank you, Jorge, for the great company. Food and accommodation along the trip are simple but great. For obvious reasons, water and snacks are more costly to purchase down in the canyon than in Arequipa and everything needs to be paid in cash. We absolutely recommend this trip.

Colca Canyon Trekking Tour: A Three-Day Adventure with Frank! - We recently embarked on a three-day trekking tour of Colca Canyon, and it was an unforgettable experience. From the outset, our guide Frank was exceptional, demonstrating profound knowledge of the region’s culture, flora, and fauna. His passion for the area was evident, as he shared fascinating stories and insights that enriched our journey. The trek itself was breathtaking, featuring stunning landscapes, steep cliffs, and vibrant local villages. Each day offered new challenges and rewarding views, including encounters with majestic condors soaring above the canyon. Our guide ensured that the pace was suitable for everyone, providing support and encouragement along the way. We recommend this tour and also our amazing guide Frank!

MUST DO! Unforgettable - This is one of our favourite things we've done so far on our 5 month trip through South America. We are so glad we booked the 3-day option as we were able to take our time with the hiking, and relax by the pool on day 2! Our guide, Erick, was extremely knowledgable about the landscape and villages, and made sure we were comfortable and always checked in on us. The 3-day option felt more personal with the guide, as there were only 4 guests on our tour (in comparison to roughly 12 people on the 2-day trek). The views are INCREDIBLE always, but particularly breathtaking at sunrise on the last morning. The only downside was that the accomodations don't provide water, and charge a very high price which we thought was unfair. Besides that, everything was perfect!

Amazing trek, highly recommended for families - Wonderful trek, we discovered breathtaking landscapes and amazing people. Our guide Ivan was very nice and knowledgeable, he took care of us to the slightest details. He shared plenty of information about the land, geography, culture, flora and fauna. Authentic lodging and great local food. The trek gets physical at times, but it comes in relatively small (3 hours) portions, making it accessible for our 12, 15 and 18 year olds. Fallback option: rent mules for $20 to carry you or your backpacks, we didn’t have to use it. Highly recommended !

Mixed Experience - great landscape, guide inadequate and irresponsible - Great landscape, short but also challenging tours, nice lodging. Guide (Ivano) was not physically fit enough, could improve his english skills, often switched from english to spanish if the first seemed too hard for him (5/7P could speek spanish), left us (2P, no spanish skills) at the breakfast behinde alone as the bus was already full. Natives had to help us and in the end we missed the hot springs, barely got our lugage back and had a stressfull odyssee to the bus to Puno.
