Amazing Tour with Beto and Amigo Tours - I just returned from an incredible tour with Amigo Tours and can confidently say it was a 10/10 experience! Our guides, Beto and Pastor, were fantastic. Not only did they provide insightful information about Chichen Itza, but they also deeply valued and shared the rich culture of the Mayan community. I was especially impressed by how they highlighted the importance of tourism that directly supports local communities. Beto’s storytelling was captivating—he presented the history and significance of Chichen Itza in such an engaging and visual way. One of the highlights was when Beto got members of our group involved to help illustrate the relationship between the sun, earth, and Venus. This hands-on demonstration made understanding the Mayan calendar so much easier and more memorable! I’ve traveled to over 30 countries, and Beto is honestly one of the best tour guides I’ve ever had. His passion for his work and the culture was truly infectious. A big thank you to Beto and Pastor for making this an unforgettable experience!

Great tour guide Rodrigo and driver Manual - Great tour, better to do early since it’s get hot. Little disappointed since tour company didn’t contact us that they were running late.considering early morning tour, that would’ve given us some extra time to get breakfast instead of waiting to be picked up for an hour . Otherwise great tour

Early but worth it - Altogether a great trip. It’s great getting in before the crowds. 2 hours goes by fast, but they did a great job of giving info and stories for 1 hour and then letting you explore for 1 hour.

Highly recommended - This tour is highly recommended. Isaac and David were amazing. Isaac provided background information about the tour while we were in our bus. He made it fun and interesting. We arrived at Chichen Itza around 8:10 AM. We were the first bus at the site. By 8:30 AM we were already passed the security. Isaac was thorough in explaining the highlights of the site starting at the wall created to separate the classes in Chichen Itza until the area where they have the games. Isaac provided a good insight about the life at that time and the significance of each structure at the site. The highlight of the sight is the temple of Kukulkan. Isaac provided details about temple and made some experiments while explaining it. We left Chichen Itza around 10:25 AM. David and Isaac made sure that no one is left behind. When we were leaving Chichen Itza, we were surprised to see a long line of buses, cars, shuttles going to Chichen Itza. I would suggest for those going to Chichen Itza to choose the early access since you don't want to waste your time waiting to get off your transport. We arrive at the next stop, Chichikan, at around 11:20 AM. Isaac toured us around the site starting with the Mayan rites, to the tequila tasting (for those interested). We were given until 1:50 PM to do whatever we want to do (eat at the buffet restaurant, swim at the Cenote). Again, before we left Chichikan, David and Isaac made sure no one is left behind. There is a time difference (1 hour) at Cancun and Chichen Itza area. We left Chichikan at 1:55 PM (2:55 PM Cancun time). It was a smooth drive. We got to Cancun hotel area around 4:55 PM.

The Best! Worth It! - My husband & I visited Chichén Itzá for our 4 anniversary. We booked with Amigo tours & we had Isaac as our tour guide & Salvador as our driver. From beginning to end our experience was amazing. We got confirmation email & information a day before. On WhatsApp they sent us all the additional fees such as pyramid tax & locker fee, therefore it was easier for when we get there so no time would be wasted lining up as it does get very crowded with tourists. They picked us up at our hotel early because it’s a 2 hour drive. That’s why we booked with them because we wanted to enjoy our evening in the hotel. We got to the pyramid, everything was perfect. Isaac was really funny, kind & caring. He really made our experience an enjoyable one. Then we went for a swim to one of the Cenote where we got free tequila tasting & lunch. The lunch was spectacular as it was buffet style and we get to choose what we wanted. It was a one in a lifetime experience. By 4pm we were back at our hotel & got to enjoy our last night in Mexico. This is the review you’re looking for to book that trip!

Carmen was an excellent... - Carmen was an excellent guide. Very knowledgeable and funny. Showed us all the best places to take pictures. The cenote was beautiful. It was a very long day of travel but worth it. I highly recommend doing the early tour...the place was overly crowded when we left.

Mixed Review - Been to Chichen Itza before but still didn't really get enough time there. The guide was knowledgeable but sometimes spoke too quickly - too loud on a bad sound system on the bus. Disappointed the lunch buffet did not include drinks ( cold water would have sufficed.) 15 hrs was far more than the 11 hr trip expected.

RUSHED and money focused - Overall the tour was fine. Everything was rushed. We were only given 30 mins to take photos after the guided tour. We were only given 1 hour and 15 mins to go to the cenote, tequila tasting AND eat at the buffet lunch - NOT enough time. They spent 30 minutes giving us a sales pitch. Lots and lots of wasted time. An unexpected stop to get ice cream which was nice. You can easily find better tours that allow you more time at the sights,

The Worst Experience - I had the most terrible experience with Viator. They have partnered with the worst vendors, Cancun Book and Amigo probably because of their profit margins. On July 9th I had booked a 4:30 am tour. I was not picked. On calling Viator they booked me on a 7 am bus, which I had to pay for again. I am 69 years old and I waited in the sun for 3 hours. There was no response from either Viator or the local vendor. At 9 they told me the tour was cancelled because I was the only person from that hotel and I could go the next day. Of course they charged me for both tours and have refused to give me a refund. It was the most harrowing experience for a solo senior citizen. The next day they didn’t pick me from the hotel. I am pasting the messages. Elizabeth Walters 03:59 PM Your tour it’s confirm Best regards. Fraudulent company, would not recommend. - Amigo tours is a fraudulent company. Our reservation was made 5 days before the day of our trip and we received multiple messages from them in the meantime. The day before our trip, when we could not cancel anymore they messaged us that unless we pay 21 dollars more they will not pick us up and we can no longer cancel. It is not a matter of 20 dollars it is a questions of principle. Beware that the price they show and you pay is about 50% of what they will ultimately collect from you. Not sure why 90 dollars of Chichen Itza entry fee is not already included in the price (make sure you read the fine print), since it is a Chichen Itza tour. The guide was awful, all he was interested in was selling you things, did not discuss any historical facts or significance. It is absolutely worth seeing Chichen Itza but not with this company. We did several trips while in Riviera Maya and this one was by far the worse. Stay away.
