- Bo-kaap - Also previously known as the malay quoter, the bokaap is a heritage site under unesco protection. With its colorful houses and corbern streets, the area is inhabited by descendants of slaves who were brought to the mother city (Cape Town) by the Dutchs in the late 1600s. The area is predominantly occupied by muslims. It celebrates the long journey of Islam in southern hemisphere. Inside bo kaap you’ll find the Uwal mosk, the oldest mosk in South Africa, plus many more of its kind. All houses are colorful as a celebration of a true rain rainbow nation as per Nelson Mandela’s wish. Although there is more stories to tell about those colorful houses. Our first stop will indeed take us here. Enjoy a cook sister, samoosa, or pop in one of the art and gallery shops, the spice shop, take pictures of colorful houses or mosks before departure to the next stop.

Amazing 1/2 Day Tour of the Cape - We made a last minute reservation for an afternoon at Boulder Beach and Cape of Good Hope. Oscar was full of information and the history of Africa. We stopped and saw whales, penguins, ostriches and baboons. Would definitely book him again.
