Long day but worth it! - Seeing a country I'd never have expected to see. The waterfalls were busier than I expected but still very glad we went.

long but fab day - Starting from Cavtat meant a 6am pick up and also means you pick up everyone else joining the trip, I went for the coach up to 45 people option. this meant we didn't start the journey from dubrovnik till around 8am. there is also a border control stop, we were there for over an hour as there was also another coach crossing the border. we had a short stop for a toilet break and drink stop. personally thought the choice of food was very limited here, I found the bakery over the road had much more choice. the first stop was the waterfalls. they are stunning, being April was far too cold to go swimming but the sound and watching them was amazing! we had an hour stop here. you should note there is a walk down steps and slopes for the waterfall and it's the same route back up. there are places to stop n rest if needed. there is also a small cabin where you can get a drink and toilets available here. we arrived in mostar, where we were met by another guide, personally I was hungry and more interested in getting something to eat at this point, it was hard to concentrate listening to the guide and hard to hear as it was quite busy with tourists. but he was very detailed and knowledgeable. also it did say in the tour details that there was free entry to turkish house included, but it wasn't. the guide said it was 2.50 euro if you wanted to go, i didn't go to the house. there are plenty of places to choose to eat, I opted for a restaurant less busy and it was delicious (review left seperately). we had 3 hours at mostar to explore and eat. so manly ice cream options, so many different flavours. lots of shops selling traditional items. we headed back to dubrovnik, our guide estimated we would be back approximately 6.45pm to dubrovnik, and then its a further half hour to Cavtat. fortunately they had arranged smaller transport for those staying in Cavtat which meant we didn't have to be on the coach for all the different Dubrovnik drop offs. this was a blessing and much welcomed. we eventually got back to Cavtat around 7.30 pm and having been out since before 6am was a very long day. I didn't mind the long day, trips like these usually are. overall I loved it, the waterfalls were beautiful and Mostar is such a beautiful place, and the price wasn't too expensive, you do need to pay additional waterfall entrance of 10 euro and on return to croatia there is tourist tax of 3 euro to pay per person. views from the coach are gorgeous, if you can keep your eyes open. zzzzzzz only giving 4 stars as more detail around timing is needed in tour details, I didn't take breakfast and lunch was very late in the day, and was much longer than 6 hours as detailed. tips: take something for breakfast, you won't have lunch till at least 1.30pm sensible comfortable shoes loose comfy clothes take Water take cash, euros accepted in Mostar.

Excellent and informative day out - A excellent day out. We went on the smaller minibus which worked very well and we were picked up from outside our hotel in Cavtat. Be warned it is an early start and a long day overall. Our guide was excellent and gave us lots of interesting facts, she was from Bosnia, so was able to give us some history too. Mostar is a must see and very interesting, so good to see the rebuilt bridge too. We also enjoyed seeing the Turkish House. We had plenty of time to look round and have an enjoyable lunch. The Waterfalls were lovely in the afternoon and again there was time to swim and have a drink. There were two toilet stops so everything was catered for. We definitely recommend this trip.

Excellent day trip - Very long but enjoyable day trip. Booked through TripAdvisor and got in touch with tour company directly over WhatsApp late the night before who were quick and helpful to organize our pick up from Cavtat. Early 6am pick up and return 7.30pm and we were actually very quick with the border crossings, but you do tour Dubrovnik a bit collecting people. Kravice very pretty and worth getting in the water. Mostar a surprise with its Ottoman heritage. 3 hours was long enough for us. Mostly tourist shops and food. Prices are good... lovely meal for 6 eur and beer 2 eur. If you are holidaying and have a spare day it's a nice thing to do that's a bit different to everything at the coast. We paid slightly extra for the mini bus and I think was well worth it, quicker and more comfortable. Our guide Marija was very knowledgeable and explained lots which we enjoyed.

Decent option if you are in Dubrovnik for awhile - Mixed reviews from my friends and I. It was a 0600 start from Cavtat, the bus was new, clean, not a ton of leg room but overall very nice - we left Dubrovnik around 7:40 after picking up extra guests. Make sure to pack your own breakfast, we had 2 bathroom stops on the way to Mostar. Kravice waterfalls are stunning, if you want to swim you’d need more time than you get there (1h). We appreciated lots of interesting history of Croatia and Bosnia from our tour guide Maria while on the bus. Mostar itself is a lovely old town street and stunning bridge/river that gathers all the tourists. We didn’t see the rest of the city with the time available (2.5h). The 40min city tour was well done. The main touristy street is extremely crowded, even in May and filled with typical tourist stores. We didn’t get back to Cavtat until 1930. Overall we’d recommend to take your own vehicle to make costs better if you’re in a group so you can stay at the waterfalls longer and see more of Bosnia. The $100 CAD each seemed a bit steep for just transport for a 2h drive, but makes sense if you can’t drive/travelling solo.
