Fun evening! - We joined this pub crawl last minute after going to an initial downtown tour with Clara (she was great). That same night we met at the Selina Rio and had a blast! Thanks for a great evening!

An experience I would remember in Rio ! - I did a free walking tour with Clara on 3rd September. The downtown tour with lapa and we were about 14 people and she conducted the tour very professing and with patience and accommodating all our questions and requests. She was very knowledgeable and articulate . So much so, I stayed back and rejoined her 3 pm historical tour and learnt so much about the history and the African influence . I thoroughly enjoyed the two walking tours and would recommend it to anyone who visits Rio. The next day I did visit some of the museums and attractions on my own and this is a good way to know and to get a feel about a city . Very well done and congratulations to free walkers for their services.

Fun night out - This tour was a fun night seeing and listening to some local Samba. Our guides Marcos and Igor kept us together and the vibe going from one venue to another. Highly recommend it for a night out.

The vibes were immaculate! - Our guide was awesome. We really felt like we had a local showing us all that Rio’s Lapa District has to offer. Better than the tours offered of Dirty Sixth in Austin and Bourbon Street in New Orleans.

Great time and lots of dancing! - It was amazing! We had a smaller group but it was still an enjoyable time. Learning to samba by the group leader was definitely the highlight of the night!

Fun Group, But Disorganized and Overpriced Experience in Lapa - I’ve done several pub crawl tours, but this one was very different—and not in the best way. While I still ended up having fun, it was mainly thanks to the group I was with rather than the tour itself.
First, the tour started off feeling disorganized. We waited for nearly an hour at the first hostel, which was confusing and frustrating. The instructions on where to meet weren’t very clear, and at one point, I thought I had gone to the wrong place.
Some people were disappointed by the drinks situation. You don’t get many drinks included in the price, and considering the places we visited mostly had free entrance, it didn’t feel like we were getting our money’s worth. The places we went to were just okay, and some of them were pretty empty.
Another letdown was the promise of learning samba moves, which never happened.
That said, the guide very friendly and tried their best to make the evening enjoyable. The group size of around 10 people was actually great, and we still managed to have a good time.
Overall, this pub crawl felt disorganized and overpriced for what we got.

Opportunity to meet people - Lia was great and did the tour bilingually. Offer assistance with translation for souvenirs and made sure everyone was accounted for. The stops were all similar type bar in Lapa. We separated from the group before the last stop. The shots included were brought by here any other drinks needed to be paid for by us. Very different than previous crawls we have been on. Lia did make sure everyone was introduced to everyone. The vibe at Selina's Rooftop was the best!

Not worth it - This was a weird experience and a waste of money and energy. We spent an hour at a loud hostel just kind of waiting for the tour to begin. Then we were called downstairs to drink cheap cachaca and play “never have I ever” to break the ice. Then the very sweet guide took us to a good, but empty samba club. This was a good experience but focused more on music/dancing than mingling. Shortly after we followed the guide to another empty club with a very weird vibe and a prostitute and pimp that hit on one of our group members. Before this began our guide left to buy snacks. She was gone for too long we felt very uncomfortable and wanted to leave. Group moral and unity was out the window, people started splitting up and going to other clubs and bars they preferred/were drawn to. I signed up to meet people and be social and everyone split up. I could have saved the money and gone to Lapa alone. The bars and clubs chosen were terrible, empty- compared to others. I don’t understand why the cost is so high when all the clubs we entered were free and no drinks were included except the cheap cachaca we drank as a pre game.

Not a Bar Crawl - Awful - Expected a bar crawl - met at one place, eventually after 90 minutes walked to a bar/club waited 30 minutes to get in (note to take ID whatever your age) Got inside and told that’s it !!! Other bar closed so just stay here !! Surely there should be a contingency plan to see other venues. Certainly wasn’t a bar crawl - no idea what I paid for.
That said when contacted Viator they totally understood and agreed refund, thank you Jay.
