Highlights
  • Paddywagon Day Tours - Check in at 7.30am with our friendly Paddywagon Staff at our Tourist Office located on Bridge Street. Ready for a 7.45am departure. We depart Cork and enjoy a scenic drive across the beautiful golden vale of Cork, to historic Limerick city. This city is the setting for blockbuster novel and movie Angela’s Ashes, and is also the home of the Munster rugby team.
  • King John’s Castle - We will view and learn about King John’s Castle and the River Shannon. We continue via County Clare to the west coast of Ireland.
  • Cliffs of Moher - We spend 1.5 hours at the Cliffs of Moher - one of the world’s greatest natural attractions. These cliffs stand 1/3 the size of the Empire State Building and have large populations of puffins and gannets. You can enjoy a hike or a relaxed walk, while gazing in amazement at this geological and natural beauty. The Cliffs of Moher also have shops and restaurants, anything from snacks and souvenirs available in plenty. Visitor charges at the Cliffs are included in the tour price saving you EUR 10.00. You will also receive a complimentary ticket to the award winning Atlantic Edge exhibition that examines all aspects of the mighty Cliffs of Moher.
  • Doolin - We depart from the Cliffs of Moher for a stop in Doolin or Liscannor, tiny west of Ireland villages where you may wish to enjoy a delicious local lunch (optional), maybe a seafood chowder or lamb stew with a local craft beer (optional). There are options to suit all diets and tastes, including vegan. On the way we will have superb views of the Atlantic coast and the Aran Islands.
  • Wild Atlantic Way - This afternoon we’ll round off the day by taking a spectacular drive along the coast as far as Black Head and romantic Galway Bay. This wonderful area is known as the Burren, a lunar landscape dating back 300 million years. Sit back, take in the scenery and imagine how the locals lived on this incredible land over the centuries.
  • Bunratty Castle and Folk Park - We stop at Bunratty Castle, for a photo stop and a chance to grab a coffee and refresh yourself. You can easily imagine Norman knights, Gaelic warriors, and jousting chieftains at this hallowed spot.
  • Paddywagon Tours Cork - We return to Cork after a fun filled day.

Great way to see the Cliffs of Moher. - We went on the Cliffs of Moher tour. It was amazing. We went to the cliffs and then went on a boat ride to see them. I would recommend Paddy Wagon’s tour company. We will come back again and use them for another tour.

An excellent time - The cliffs were absolutely breathtaking. I loved the music being played by locals along the way, and the joyous sensation of it all. The bus ride and details about Ireland were excellent fun, they did an all around great job with this one. I only wish we had more time to go into the castle!

Cliffs of Moher by foot is a must see - Very beautiful. The guide adviced a boattrip, but that was not worth the price. Cliffs of Moher was perfect!

Mediocre Tour - got us to the Cliffs of Moher - A bit disappointed with this tour. The guide didn’t provide much in terms of the real history and significance of the places. No music played during downtime when the guide didn’t speak. We have been on a tour to Cliffs of Moher before and this was probably the worst one. The food stop was basically a cafeteria and the food was not good. Save your appetite for the Bunratty Castle stop. Not enough time at the stops. The first stop was at a gas station and they gave everyone 10 minutes to use the toilet, grab food and get coffee.

Don't miss out if Cliffs of Moher is the only thing you're looking for - Cliffs of Moher was amazing and breathtaking but please read other reviews and reconsider before booking if the other spots are a dealbreaker for you. Because this trip only covers the Cliffs and nothing else

Would've been better off doing it on our own - We did the trip from Limerick to the Cliffs of Moher and it was okay. Everything ran on time and the driver was fine (although horribly unfunny jokes). I think the tour description is misleading. We booked it in part to get to stop and see some villages like Liscannor but we only stopped outside of it for a group lunch at a crowded tourist spot. We didn't even stop at or see the Burren - our driver kind of pointed it out up ahead but didn't say anything else about it. It's really just a trip to the Cliffs of Moher with a stop for lunch and a stop for ice cream/coffee. I think Paddywagon would be better served to allow 2-3 hours at the Cliffs of Moher and then go straight to Bunratty and allow 2-3 hours there to explore the castle and have lunch. Don't bother with the other stuff. And if you're a visitor, look into the public buses. I discovered after the fact we could've done it on our own for half the cost.

Disappointing tour to the Cliffs - Cliffs of Moher tour from Cork was a disappointment. The Cliffs were beautiful and great to see, but the tour wasn’t quite as advertised. Essentially it’s a tour to the Cliffs plus a brief stop at Bunratty Castle (just to view the castle). The stop in Limerick didn’t happen. The biggest surprise was how poorly the tour guide spoke English. What commentary was given was very confusing and unclear as were the instructions on what to do at the stops. You would think a tour company in Ireland would have a fluent English speaker as the guide and who could talk more about Irish culture and what we were seeing. Choose another tour company to see the Cliffs!
