Jacamar Naturalist Tours - Mistico Park & Hanging Bridges - David was our tour guide for the Arenal Hanging Bridges tour in Mistico Park. He was wonderful - kept a good pace for the group, made sure we saw as much of the wildlife as possible, and shared lots of info and history. A snack of fresh watermelon and pineapple after the tour was much appreciated. Shout out to Miguel, our driver, as well! Both were great.

Better experience than in the Amazon! - What a great experience! After spending one week in the Papagayo Peninsula area, we loved our excursion tour of the Hanging Bridges at Mystique in La Fortuna. The rain forest walk over several hanging bridges was amazing. The guides were very knowledgeable, and help us locate the wild life there. They also had when them a spotting telescope which really helped us view the wildlife closer.

Walking among the rainforest canopy. - This was the third private tour we purchased from jacamar this week. All have been highly educational and fun filled. The jacamar guides are experts in describing what you are seeing and in the identification of wildlife that the uninformed would not even notice. Our tour guide was Gustavo who has been a guide for over 20 years. Fluent in English as a second language, as we have found with all our guides, made the three hour hanging bridge a wonderful learning experience as we walked in the rainforest canopy. A delightful experience.

Great experience! - Our guide Gustavo was amazing! He took the time to talk to us about many interesting facts from the park. He’s very knowledgeable when it comes to his craft. The hanging bridges experience itself was great as well!

Nice walk - We thoroughly enjoyed this nature walk over many hanging bridges. There were many groups which made wait times to cross the bridges a bit long. Our guide, Jason, was very good at spotting wildlife, including a very tiny viper, asleep on a leaf. The bridges are a little dubious but safe.

Nature Focused, Fun experience - Very knowledgeable & personalable guide. Drove 25 min to Mistico, moderate 2hr hike loop immersed in nature. Saw snakes, frogs, owls and guide was great at setting up scope to get good photos. They provided bottled water and a granola bar. We were fortunate that went in ‘busy’ season but had only small lines before bridges as we heard that sometimes you have long wait times due to crowds.

Wonderful Hanging Bridges Tour - We traveled to Costa Rica in hopes of viewing the wide variety of wildlife and beautiful flowers the country has to offer. The Jacamar Arenal Hanging Bridges guided walk more than delivered. We saw so many interesting things, birds, tarantulas, sloths, snakes, monkeys, and owls. Our guides Melanie and Alonzo were exceptional. They were friendly, knowledgable and kept the tour extremely engaging. I would certainly recommend this tour to anyone who is looking to spend the morning in a rainforest and hoping to see many interesting things.

Great experience - My husband and I went on this tour and it was a very small group which was wonderful. Our guide, Cindy, was extremely knowledgeable about local plants and wildlife. She also brought a binocular and tripod so we could all get the perfect view of animals from a distance. She even offered to take pictures through the binocular which was fantastic. The hanging bridges provided a beautiful view and once in a lifetime experience. At the end of the tour we were offered our choice of variety of drinks which was appreciated. Highly recommend!

AMAZING EXPERIENCE - Beautiful place. What made the experience most interesting and pleasing was the tour guide named José Ángel ( Pica ). I Can tell he is the best tour guide you can ever have at any tour. He was very enthusiastic, funny and pushing You can easily tell he loves what he does. We learned a lot about the history of Costa Rica because of him. I would 100% recommend him for any tour you book in La Fortuna Costa Rica.

Hanging bridges are no fun for people with vertigo - Beautiful park. Knowledgeable tour guides. Unfortunately I had difficulty & could not enjoy it as I had planned. Reason: hanging bridges (there are 6 of them in this walking circuits). They gave me both vertigo & imbalance in walking the trail. Not the fault of the tour guides, who patiently monitored my balance & fatigue levels as soon as they noticed my issue. Nevertheless, it would be good if they had notified me & had checked for potential vertigo past experiences. Hugo was very supportive. He is a knowledgeable naturalist, explains everything clearly (his English is very good). David was also a good guide.
