Highlights
  • Paddywagon Tours - We depart from Dublin and head north, crossing the border into Northern Ireland. A short comfort stop along the way ensures you arrive refreshed and ready for a fantastic day of sightseeing.
  • The Dark Hedges - We visit Northern Ireland’s most famous natural phenomenon, the Dark Hedges. Planted in the 18th century by the Stuart family to impress their guests, many will recognize the Dark Hedges as King’s Road from the popular TV series Game of Thrones. It’s a wonderful photo opportunity and a chance to be part of a real-life set!
  • Glens of Antrim - As we head towards the North Coast, we enjoy a scenic drive through some of the Glens of Antrim, an area designated as an area of outstanding natural beauty. Enjoy a panoramic drive admiring the valleys and beautiful countryside of County Antrim.
  • Causeway Coastal Route - We travel to the Causeway Coast, where we can see stunning views of Rathlin Island, and on a clear day, even the Scottish coast 13 miles away. The views along this coastline are spectacular, making it one of the most visited destinations in Europe!
  • Giant’s Causeway - The highlight of this trip for most is the Giant’s Causeway! Built by the Irish giant Fionn and his Scottish rival Angus, it is a true masterpiece of perfectly shaped hexagonal columns. Your tour guide will share more about the Causeway and the legends of the area. The path to the causeway stones starts behind the center and is only a 10-minute walk! For a small fee, a mobility bus can take those with walking difficulties all the way down the path to the Causeway.
  • Dunluce Castle - We arrive at one of the world’s most dramatic castle ruins for a 1-hour stop. Prepare to be amazed at how this old castle hangs over the edge of the cliffs. Part of Dunluce Castle fell into the sea in the 1600s, resulting in the tragic death of some servants. Since then, it is believed to be haunted by the unfortunate servants. Take some impressive photos before we leave the coast and head to Belfast. (The visit is only outside)
  • Paddywagon Tours Ltd - We relax as we return to Dublin via the motorway, expecting to arrive back in Dublin at approximately 8:30 pm after a fun-filled day!

Great Experience - Although this was a long day Richard from Paddywagon tours made it a great experience for our group of six. He arrived on time, provided a summary of the day, and kept the tour on track. We were fortunate as we had reserved seating at the front which allowed for great discussion with Richard throughout the day. The Giant’s Causeways were amazing and worth the time and effort to get there. We also took advantage of the recommended Black Taxi tour while stopping in Belfast. This was a plus we were not expecting this opportunity. I would highly recommend this tour.

Do it! - This was the best part of our trip. The pictures don’t do it justice, this was one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen. We got lucky with a gorgeous day, but regardless, I highly recommend this tour. The entrance to the castle was included. We also stopped and saw the dark hedges, Belfast, and learned history along the way.

Great Tour! - Though it is a long day, it is worth it to see the stunning views of the castle and the giant causeway. Aaron was our driver/guide and did a great job sharing his knowledge. Loved that he also arranged a lunch stop for us in advance (pre-ordered ahead). Of the tour groups I booked with on my trip to Ireland, Paddywagon was the best.

Wonderful - Dense day but worth it. The different stops offer magnificent views. The Giant Causeway is really a remarkable place, despite the crowds!

Good tour with a great guide! - Good tour with a great guide, Jerry, who gave us a better understanding of the “Troubles”. Appreciated the info as we were travelling into Dublin during Northern Ireland’s July 12th celebrations which has historically led to violent outbreaks. Only complaint is wish the tour could have spent more time at the Causeway. There’s a lot to see and enjoy. The walk down takes 30min and we only had 1.5hr to enjoy the whole place. Didn’t leave a lot of time to soak in the sights and to just enjoy but it was understandable as we had several other stops along the way. I would recommend if it’s your first time in Ireland but otherwise, rent a car to spend more time enjoying nature’s beauty.

Giants Causeway - must see. - The Giants Causeway is amazing, I realise now that not taking this tour would have been a big loss. We also found out some facts about Belfast and recent history of Ireland. The bus was ok, dkd not have any issues with the road and/or driving. The driver was fun, played some good music (although more irish would have been better) and tried to keep us connected. He spoke to us about some history, gave us some hints. There is no actual guide and this is a problem, I would have liked getting more info about most places we went by. The driver cannot be also a too good guide.

Enjoy traveling tours! - We did the Small Group tour to Giant's Causeway Tour from Dublin. Instead of 20folks, it was less than 6, very intimate. Trip there and back was lovely, and our driver aided us all with an extra local stop. Only small complaint, was the luxury van didn't have wifi or USB charging as expected.. but the company in the van made up for this with great conversations etc.

Good but tour guide Richard has to go! - We are a Family with 2 children, 7 and 11. We met in Dublin prior to 7am. We arrived early and Richard our guild arrived soon after. He walked us about 2 blocks away to the large bus. It sat around 30-40 people. It was a comfortable bus with good leg room and storage on top. Our tour guide was rude at times and cussed throughout the trip. Knowing that there are children, he still said ass and bitch. He threatened to leave anyone if they were late which caused us a lot of anxiety. This was to the point that we couldn’t enjoy giant causeways because we had to hurry back to the bus. The places were beautiful but it felt rushed and not in a nice way.
