Rich wilderness adventure - We had an amazing experience visiting Manu park in October 2024. Our guide José was extremely knowledgeable and sensible, and we experienced a great variety of activities, sights and discoveries in just 3 days. The accomodations were simple but functional, food was excellent. Our 11-year old came back with a lifelong memory of petting a tapir during one of our meal breaks ☺️

Knowledgeable trip with José - We had a lovely experience with this short Manu trip from Cusco. Our guide José, a biologist and guide for over 25 years, showed us many plants and animals, taught us about the cultural and political backgrounds of the region and was pleasant company because of his calm and pleasant character. Thanks José for this great introduction to Manu!

the best operator to see Manu and Amazon wildlife - the best operator out there to explore the amazon. I joined a 3 day tour to Manu because I was short on time - going with Vilca promised so many activities in even such a short space of time. Taz was my guide and he was incredible, so knowledgeable and able to see and spot so much. We then joined groups with Jose, who was also a special character and very interesting guide. Both made sure we were all comfortable, looked after and able to see the wildlife despite being in a big group. The food was also incredible, special kudos to our wonderful cooks. And the drivers drove very carefully on what can be quite sketchy roads to get there. the boat trips made it extra special. 10/10 would book with Vilca again, but for longer the next time!

Super tour with fascinating wildlife observations - We did the 3 day tour and caught a great guide with José! He always had a good eye on the schedule and told us a lot about the plant and animal world. The second guide, whose name we unfortunately forgot, was also quite outstanding. We have been so lucky and have seen so many great animals. The whole organization was good. Only that we were merged with another group and instead of a maximum of 11 people there were a total of 15 people, you could complain, because we asked in advance several times how many participants will be there. Luckily, however, the guides paid attention to dividing the large group wherever possible. That made it okay again. The accommodations are great and exceeded our expectations. The food was super delicious and always freshly prepared. High praise for this too! The driving style of the bus driver took a lot of getting used to and gave us a scare or two when we moved closer to the abyss than we wanted. Nevertheless, we all arrived well in the end.

We had a very good experience at Manu. The tour guide Jose is very professional and will adjust the itinerary according to the situation, and strives to find the best time and place for us to observe. I saw a lot of different species in the rainforest, which made me feel very novel. I also bought book of birds of birds from the bookstore. Because I am learning Spanish, at the end of the trip, Jose also provided me with an Spanish version Manu introduction to me.

Brilliant tour of Manu! - We did the 3 day trip and had an incredible experience in Manu. The views were amazing, the activities were well organised and both the accommodation and food were great. Our tour guide Jose was brilliant and knew so much about the wildlife in Manu which made the tour really interesting. I'd definitely recommend this for anyone wanting a taster of the Amazon, we just wish we could've stayed longer!

Great 3 day experience in the Manu with Jack guide! - An amazing experience, especially thanks to our guide Jack! We would have stayed more days but because of schedule we could not. We saw a lot of animals and took a night walk in the jungle. Jack was always very attentive and interesting explaining everything around us and looking for the strangest animals! He even taught us how the natives of the jungle close their wounds... awesome! Super recommended!

Where the wild things grow - It’s our first time to the Amazon jungle. We were amazed at the diversity of the wild life there. We saw quite a variety of colourful birds and monkeys. Our guide, Nicholas, was very skilful in locating the wildlife and in helping us to take wonderful pictures of them. He is very knowledgeable in all the wildlife and plants and he entertained us with his Inca card tricks. There are areas which could be improved. We think that English should be the primary language to communicate with the tourists, with other languages added on if necessary. Secondly, we felt that people skills could be better in connecting all members of the group so we feel that we’re helping each other to have the best experience possible. Further more, we feel that maybe replacing cold rice with a chicken salad sandwich would be a better choice for take-away lunches. Everything else was well coordinated and organised, thanks for a memorable experience.
