The Sacrality of Nature - It was a very deep experience with nature in all its aspects as well as contact with an indigenous population that jealously guards its sacred places. I thank the very trained contact of the Wili Guide who instructed us on the most appropriate clothes, the animals and plants of the place and how to conduct us with the community and of course the great chef Eloy who made us enjoy the food of the place and Peru.

Good guide and infrastructure - Vilca has good facilities and infrastructure for the tours it takes, the accommodations and dining rooms were clean. The food was also delicious and plentiful, they also gave vegetarian options. The guide José was very attentive to everything we did and asked and we felt safe and informed. The administration is also very attentive.

Awesome place - go for longer! - An excellent trip! Our guide was Miguel and he was great - friendly, organised and super knowledgeable about the forest, not just birds and animals but all aspects and we learnt a lot about the climate, local people, and his own trekking stories. The trip is much more physical than I was expecting - this was a positive thing for me, but be aware in many parts you will be trekking uphill in lots of mud. The jungle and river areas are beautiful and the food, accom, activities etc are all as described. My recommendations - go as long as you can. The drive to Manu is a full day there and a full day back on very winding roads. The views and stops are beautiful but maximise your two travel days by staying for 7+ days, then you can go to the deeper jungle and see more animals there too - take more socks than you expect, lol

Unforgettable experience - We did the 5-day tour with Edson. It was one of the best experiences of my entire life. The activities were all different and incredible, mixing hiking, watching and discovering. Every worker from Expediciones Vilca was available for us and particularly helpful. In addition, the guide, Edson, was knowledgeable and pedagogue. He transmits the right values about the jungle and really understands his environment. We'll never forget him, he's an excellent person in addition to his qualities as a guide.

Amazing experience, amazing memories! - It was a truly amazing experience. I went on a 5 day and 4 nights tour. Manu is a breathtaking place. You get to see the higher cloud forest and then a lower jungle and all the transition zones. Overall, the experience was amazing. The best part for me was our guide. We were lucky to have Jose with us. He is a biologist and knew so much about the flora and fauna and made every little detail come alive. He was very enthusiastic. Make sure your guide is good because your experience will depend on it. The food was acceptable. It was not the best. It really depends who is the cook on your trip. There are many different cooks and i suggest you do your due dilligence before going on this trip. 2 tips to make it better: -Ask who is the guide -Ask about the cook -If you can, dont do 4 or even 5 days, do the 7 day tour that allows you to actually go inside the protected reserve. Ask your guide about it before buying the experience. Bring good binoculars if you can, dont be cheap because it's really worth it! Thank you José (our guide) for an amazing experience. I totally recommend this experiece!
