Fantastic Day - Fantastic trip. Real early start but well worth it, you’ll see on the way down as all the other visitors are climbing up.
The trip was great. It’s kind of tough in places. You need to be relatively fit or you’ll struggle.
The last part of the drive is a bit rough, bumpy roads etc but that’s part of it.
The main reason for the 5 stars is Carlos, our guide. He was fantastic from start to finish.
Thank you Carlos !

Recommend this Tour for Beating the Crowds. - An amazing tour. The trek was challenging however worth it. Our guide Carlos kept us going with his enthusiasm. The views were spectacular. The early morning pick up was needed. When we left the mountain, the queue was long just to get that 'photo'. The breakfast/lunch was a selection of meat, vegetarian and vegan. It was buffet so you could eat as much as you needed. The day was an enjoyment. Thank you RBT and Carlos!!!!

Great experience! - The views were amazing. If you get tired by the altitude you can pay about 80 soles to ride a horse and that is pretty cool considering the views. Yakelin was a great guide, always aware that everybody is fine. I definitely recommend this.

Best Tour of RM with Rainbow Mountain Travels - Best tour, challenging, with great willpower, but well rewarded thanks to the wonderful show and thanks to the guide Andy who was very attentive to all the participants, worrying about their condition. Highly recommended.

Rainbow Mountain - The best thing about Rainbow Mountain Travels is that you are at the top before the crowds. Two hours later after we had done Red Valley and ready to start our descent, it was incredibly crowded and much less enjoyable. It’s a hard climb with the altitude so it’s much much better to have more space and be able to truly enjoy the views after the climb.

Perfect timing to avoid crowds - Very helpful guide and neatly organised tour. We were the last ones and the van picked us up at 3.07 am. Those early minutes are so crucial, as the Rainbow Mountains got quickly crowded. By the time we were 30-45 minutes rejoicing up, the photo point had a queue. Our tour timing worked out perfectly though waking up very early was difficult. The ride overall was bumpy but that's how the roads are, so you can't expect to sleep much during the travel (some managed to sleep).
Horses were available so getting one is quite easy. We got one up and down. Overall a cherishable experience.

Beating the crowds matter - Seeing the rainbow mountain an hour before the typical tour really matters! As we were leaving the queue to get a picture was very long. The tour guide and driver always make sure everyone is accounted for and give good directions on where to go

The best tour to escape the crowds - We were picked up at 3:00 a.m. However, getting up early was worth it. When we got to Rainbow Mountain, there were only a few people there. Afterwards we walked the detour to the Red Valley. This is really a must. The view there is gigantic and few take the detour. Back we went over Rainbow Mountain. In the meantime, the masses had arrived there and lined up in long lines in front of the best photo spots. The altitude has really hit us. Since we really wanted to see the Red Valley as well, we decided to go up by horse. That currently costs 80 sols. Even if you get off the horse, you still have a decent bit of road ahead of you, especially if you want to go to the Red Valley. Guide and driver were competent and very nice.
