A day well spent indeed - Visit to the Cu Chi Tunnels & more. - Wow! What a wonderful & impressive tour, goes on for the whole day with visits to different locations. We were picked up in a comfortable "7 seater limousine bus" early in the morning together with other fellow tourists for the day. Cold bottled water & snacks are provided throughout the trip. Our guide Mikey was amazing as his explanation & history of the different places we were visiting made the visitation more interesting as we could then understand and appreciate it better. We first stopped at the Lamphat Company to see how lacquered wood crafts are hand made by handicapped persons. It's a charity based company supported by the government. The quality of the products are far better than the ones you see at other markets. We bought a few items & definitely worthwhile to support a charitable cause as the workers are self supported by the sale of the products. Next stop was to visit the Mekong river to see how close the neighbouring countries are, nothing fancy, but just to know that one can literally swim over to another country. Highlight of the visit was to the Cu Chi tunnels. The exhibits were all shown above ground, but one can imagine how small these work places would have been as they are all located underground and not above ground as per the displays shown. This really showed the tenacity of the Cu Chi folks during the war. The actual tunnels were no bigger than 24" wide x 20" high, anyone over 45-50kgs would not be able to crawl through the tunnels. Thankfully they have made the tunnels bigger for tourist like us, there are 3 tunnel length options to try "crawl" through, 20m, 40m & 60m. We all chose the 20m tunnel, it can be a rather claustrophobic but still rewarding experience. We also sampled some boiled tapioca & pandan tea, one of the staple foods for the villages during the war. We then headed on a boat ride to one of the islands for a simple "village" styled lunch, nothing fancy. Cold beer & the food was clean and none of us had the "runs" thankfully. We then rode the same boat to another island to see some other "touristy" attractions where coconut candies are made, a honey farm where the taste of the honey will change depending on what fruits are in season. Anyone for a photo with a python? Then off for an afternoon tea with local fruits and listing to some live folk songs. Last item on the agenda was a short "canoe" ride down a small canal, our kids had fun paddling along as well. Overall, we felt the day tour was money well spent, again the tour guide Mikey really made the trip engaging & come alive for all of us with his detailed explanation.

A 10/10 Experience!!! Highly recommend!! Can’t say enough good things about this tour! - We had the BEST day on our Cu Chi tunnels and Mekong tour!! The service was very professional and worth the money. The best part was our guide Haley!! She is extremely knowledgeable answering any question we had. She would talk on the drive segments about the history and culture of Vietnam as well as take pictures along the tour. The tunnels are very cool and highly anticipated. the river tour was cool to see the culture of the area. The lunch was nice and filling as well. Overall I would highly recommend!!

Entertaining tour of Vietnam War tunnels and Mekong river rowing boats. - Our tour guide Mikey was accommodating and comprehensive with interesting facts. He kept in communication through WhatsApp since confirmation of tour booking. The pickup from our hotel was punctual. The drive was prompt and tour transportation was clean and comfortable. The Cú Chi tunnels was the first part of the tour. This consists of many Vietnam War display of tunnels, traps, and accommodation used by soldiers. There is also a shooting range where you can fire weapons such as M60 machine gun, AK47, K54 pistol, or Carbine rifle. Note this is an additional costs at a minimum of 10 ammo purchase. I believe the costs per bullet was abour 30k VND each. The second part of the tour was the Mekong Delta where you ride a small boat to an island for lunch serving local dishes. The food was pretty good and family style. After lunch you then hop on row boats where you the locals will row you through parts of the delta. In between the two parts of the tours they would bring you to an art shop selling things made by war victims, local honey products, and a coconut shop selling sweets. These are entertaining as they provide demonstrations on how the products were made. A tip for this tour is to bring insect repellent and dress accordingly to get a little dirty crawling throughout tight spaces. Overall this tour was fun and entertaining to our family with two of our young teens. Highly recommend experience 👌. Ken
