Really good. - We did the 45 min camel ride to the falconry show and then a 2 min car drive to the bedwin tent. This is as authentic as it gets and our 7 year old loved it. The food was great too. It was an hours drive from our hotel (Atlantis) we were picked up at 3pm got back to the hotel about 10pm

Very much recommended. Although... -
Very much recommended. Although maybe a little touristy it was a great evening entertaining and food very enjoyable. Pick up for tour was on time. Only complaint is that driver drove way too fast and furious on our return to the hotel. He didn't have our safety in mind.

Great time Dubai bashing! - We were the first to be picked up around 3pm, did two other hotel pick ups and then made the hour drive to the desert to meet the other cars. Desert safari is always done in a convoy of more than 10 cars. We then drove into the protected area of desert used for the safari. We had around 20-25 minutes of dune bashing and then headed to the camp. There is a great buffet dinner with options for vegetarians as well. There are two performances and then you leave by around 8:30pm.

Just for groups - The driver was very good, the buffet ordinary, and the show not really interesting. This activity is more for groups than for individuals. Bad quality/price ratio

4WD was fun, rest was super average - Good fun evening. Our driver was lovely and had a good sense of humour. He was an experienced driver and we had fun on the sand dunes. The entertainment at the camp was great except the fire dancer gets very close to you and he splashed turps all over us. The food was a bit disappointing. It’s advertised as middle eastern cuisine but they served us cold fries and nuggets for the entree. Like it was actually stone cold. You need to be careful of scammers at the camp, as soon as you arrive the locals are trying to sell you souvenirs highly priced. One guy allowed our family of 4 to hold a Falcon bird which was wonderful but then after we held the bird he told us to pay him $20 dirham each!! That pissed a lot of people off. The only things we enjoyed was our 4WD experience and the belly dancer.

Beware, lied to about numbers of other cars on trip, does impact on experience - Did loads of online research and wanted to do trip but unsure about some websites with hundreds & hundreds of people. Waited until arrived at Sofitel the Palm and sought advice from resident Alpha Rep in lobby. Specifically asked how many other people would be travelling and told 10 cars of 6, no more. On that basis booked and paid £60 a head. When got to desert we waited for other cars to join us, waiting 30 minutes plus. Not happy when 23 other cars arrived. Apparently we were fortunate as Alpha often have 40-50 cars in convoy, beware. For those that don't know the convoy then snakes it's way through the desert. It was good fun for the most part but with so many cars in front you really only see a rear bumper and brake lights. We had middle row and really felt for two in the rear/ boot seats, exceptionally bumpy. Our driver was great, very safe and sensible, he was definitely one of the pluses. The camp was ok, sort of what you expect. Three camels do a 1 minute ride for the multitude of guests. Food edible but not good, didn't have high expectations for this part of the trip so it was fine. Six hour trip breaks down to 1 hour 15 minutes to travel to desert, 30 minutes waiting for others to arrive, hour riding over dunes with 3 stops and two hours in camp before return trip. We enjoyed experience despite numbers of people but could've paid a lot less for the same and would have if we hadn't been misled.

The dinner and entertainment were ok... -
The dinner and entertainment were ok but we were so angry we were not able to enjoy it much. The voucher said pickup at our hotel would be between 3:30 and 4. We called and they said they would pick us up between 5 and 5:30 The guy finally got there at almost 6:30 and we were crammed in a car with 2 other people that did not smell very good for an hour drive. By the time we arrived it was dark we could not see much and we had no time for the other activities plus not being in a good mood. It was a lot of money for a quick buffet dinner and then turn around for another hour drive with the same smelly people!

This place is a tourist trap scam….beware! - This place is a total scam…beware. Most absurdly priced dinner of my entire life. All dinner we were harassed by vendors trying to sell is hookahs smoking and cheap art. We told them we were not interested but they wouldn’t leave us alone. The dinner was mediocre and the entertainment was a total joke. This is simply an overpriced dinner that sketchy concierges and tour companies send tourists to for the kickbacks. Avoid this place at all costs!
