Spent almost 2 hours at this fantastic pottery and zellige workshop, guided by the enthusiastic Mourad. Top service incl taxi ride that picks you up at the desired place and brings you back. During the workshop, you also get a word of explanation about the different materials and how they work there. Like how the zellige is laid. Very quick to book and you also get a very quick reply/confirmation. You can have everything you make there sent both domestic or abroad for a decent price. At the end you can buy something in the shop but this is not an obligation!

Highly recommend - Words are missing to describe the customer service we get from Mr. Mourad , our tour guided in the pottery workshop. We spend a very nice time with him in making pottery wheel and painting, but the most interesting part was mosaic . We have had a lot of fun and the experience was intresting and enjoyable.

Plan your time in Fes to include this amazing pottery and Mosaic experience with Morad! - My daughter visited Art D’Argile workshop a few months ago and had such a fantastic time that she recommended I go too! That was a great recommendation. I thoroughly enjoyed my 3 hours learning about the processes of making pottery from wheel throwing through baking in the kiln and also about making mosaics.
After learning I too had the chance to practice, by wheel throwing, painting pottery and making a mosaic trivet. The artisans there were very friendly and helpful in assisting with designs and colors.
If you like to use your hands to create this art experience is definitely for you! Morad was a great host, arranges your transportation and also will deliver your finished products back yo where you are staying the next day for 30 MAD.
I highly recommend you give it a try!

Lovely day with local craftsmen - The entire experience was lovely. The team and craftsmen were keen on sharing their knowledge to help us create our own works. Mourad guided us through the day and was kind enough to have his mom make us couscous for lunch. We made a zellije tile and colored our own pots, we even got to try the wheel. We had a lovely day and would definitely recommend it to anyone.

Art Workshop : Solo Experience - Both the tour of the co-op as well as workshops were fascinating & enjoyable. It was very interesting to understand how a range of crafts are made - ranging from pottery to mosaics, and lent a new appreciation for the mastery behind each art.
My guide Mourad was very clear & comprehensive, explaining everything patiently. It was evident that he is both passionate & knowledgeable about the field. He was also a great cheerleader, supportive & vocal with praise during the workshop process, whilst I was painting my pieces - which was very much needed on my part!
I would highly recommend this workshop to anyone who is interested in both learning more about & trying their hand at, local Moroccan crafts. It is suitable for both individuals as well as in groups.

Fun experience! - It was a wonderful experience! The instructor was knowledgeable and patient, guiding us through each step with ease. The workshop itself was well-organized, with a relaxed atmosphere that allowed for creativity.
The transport to and from could be improved. We were with four, but the car could only fit three.

Lovely half day of relaxing crafts - We visited with Mourad as part of our trip to Fes and to do something nice on my birthday. In the lead up to the day, Mourad was very helpful with advising us on accommodation (we had made a bad choice!) and also organising transport.
He gave a great (quick) tour of the cooperative factory and explained all of the different disciplines, taking photos for us and generally adding a lot of colour to the excursion. This feels like a really comfortable, safe and creative space to enjoy for a few hours outside of the medina.
We had a fantastic two hours creating our own pieces - painting/mosaic and pottery. The artisans are all so wonderfully skilled and patient, we loved interacting with them and learning. This was the highlight. Mourad was also very good at making sure our pottery was delivered to us in Marrakesh and organised everything, which was above and beyond.
The reason for giving four stars and not five is that we felt hugely under pressure to buy things once we were involved in the tour. Though it started well, there was frequent reference to other tourists and their commissions, dhl delivery, repetitive sales patter, which culminated in quite pushy behaviour in the shop at the end. We were really happy to buy things and wanted to spend more but to be honest this put us off and we didn’t want to spend any more money here. This is cultural and the Moroccan way for tourists, but we had thought we might be relieved of it during a craft morning. It is surprising to me that nobody else has commented on this.
I would recommend this tour but be prepared to weather the sales pitch. Mourad is a great guy.
