Small group tour well worth it - My wife and I enjoyed this Small Group tour, 8 people max. The tour company has a easy to find meet up location to start trip. Francesca was our driver for the day and all 8 people fit comfortable in the van. First stop was Siena, where a tour guide walked us around the city. San Gimignano we walked around on own. Had lunch(plenty of pasta) and wine tasting at cool winery. Learned about types and process of making wine. Can't wait for our case of wine to arrive home. The trip was 8 am to 7 pm but it went fast.

Wonderful tour with wonderful people - Excellent tour with excellent guides. Pia (local guide in Siena) and our driver/guide Tanya were incredible and so much fun. This tour squeezes a lot into the day but never feels rushed. Plenty of opportunity to enjoy the local food, wine, and coffee. Lunch at Castillo Sonnino not to be missed.

Fabulous day!!! - This trip was our favorite day in Italy! We learned about so much history and tradition in Sienna, got to experience the midevil village of San Gimignano and its breathtaking views of Tuscany, an incredible drive through the Tuscany region, a wonderful lunch and wine tasting experience in Chianti followed by the beautiful leaning tower of Pisa. All guided by a knowledgeable and friendly English speaking, but native tour guide Daria (she was the best!)! If you have this opportunity don't pass it up, you will have no regrets!

The guides are fun and very knowledgable - We had a great time on the 2 different tours we took with Towns of Italy. The guides are fun to be with and very knowledgeable. Our guide on both tours was Antonella, she is just brilliant. We laughed alot and had a great time. We also had a second guide on the Cinque Terra day, Allessandro. He is someone who really knows the region. Really nice guy. Highly recommend this company as we were on a small group tour with only 6 guests in a very clean mini van.

Great day out albeit tiring by the end - Visiting all the towns was fantastic except the was envisaging the lunch at the winery to have a nice view of the Tuscan valley! The drive was tiring but that’s no fault of the tour operator. All in all I’m glad I chose this tour

Average Tour - Tour had some good and some not so good aspects. Driver was good. Time spent in Sienna too short. It would have been great if possible to have pre arranged tickets for climbing the tower in Pizza. No tour guide in Pizza and San Gimignano so if you wanted one this is not your tour. Overall average tour probably better out there for the same price.

Not worth it - We’ve enjoyed several tours with Towns of Italy, but unfortunately this one missed the mark. The walking tour of Siena was very good and visiting San Gimignano was nice, though less than an hour there was not enough to explore and enjoy this place. Our guide told us lunch would be at 1:45pm so we thought we shouldn’t buy much food in San Gimignano; however, we didn’t arrive at the winery until 2:05pm, then they announced we’d be going on a tour of the winery before lunch - even though we were all extremely hungry. Lunch didn’t start until 2:45pm. The itinerary promised a wine tasting, but we were only given two small serves of wine with lunch over a long period of time, plus a dessert liqueur. I have dietary requirements (gluten free, no onion, no garlic) which was confirmed with the company well in advance, two days before and on the day of the trip. However when lunch came around they still seemed surprised when I mentioned it. While everyone else was served a veggie lasagna, my “traditional Tuscan lunch” was a bowl of chickpeas and a bowl of potatoes with salt and pepper. Very disappointed, would not recommend this tour especially if you have dietary requirements. Better to stay in Florence and explore more of the beautiful scenery and multitude of restaurants there instead.

Very disappointed!!! - We booked Tours of Italy/ Tuscany Grand Tour through Pleasant Holidays/ AAA. We have never been to Italy so we were trusting those who were the experts. The people at Towns of Italy in Florence were ery nice but sadly the tour was a great disappointment! Perhaps the Grand Tour was not what we needed but it's what we got. The tour began in Sienna which is a very old Historical city. Our guide was full of information but it was like she was reciting a script and could not pause for any questions? We saw many buildings from the outside and were shown pictures of the inside but never got to enter the buildings? Our driver was very informative & friendly, there was alot of time driving!! We then went to San Gimignano, a small quaint city with beautiful views of vineyards & olive trees and many shops. Then we got to go to a winery. We were so looking forward to this experience in Chianti but the vineyard was under impressive. While the people were warm and friendly, the atmosphere was a bit disappointing as was the tour, if you can call it a tour. Anyway, it's hard to make plans when going to a place you have never been. This is why you must trust those you hire to do so. This tour was very disappointing!!! Hope you have a better experience.
