Excellent guide though one of the worlds most important art museums. - Our guide Yvon presented a historical timeline which made sense out of the order in which the art is displayed. It was an interesting journey.
I loved the large gallery corridor.
It was pretty hot in there though. It was a drag carrying our coats. Lockers would be nice.

Knowledgeable tour guide - Beautiful place, and very knowledgeable tour guide. There are far too many portraits to see on the tour, but the tour covers the most famous ones, then you are free to explore the museum afterwards.

We had a great tour! This... - We had a great tour! This was a good overview of the museum and focusing on the main works of art, without diving into so much detail to prevent it from being boring.

Great tour - Our guide was very knowledgeable and helpful. She explained all about the period of the paintings. Showed us the major paintings in this large museum. It was so helpful. Later we had free time to walk around. I would definitely recommend

Wonderful! Must do - The two of us were fortunate to be the only ones on the tour. Oksana was extremely knowledgeable about the history of the Uffizi as well as the art work within. She was passionate about her work and eager to share it. Couldn’t have asked for a better tour.

A Excellent Introduction to Italian Art - Our guide was amazing and we learnt so much. I would really recommend this tour as the Uffizi is quite overwhelming at first, but now I feel I could go back again with a little more knowledge of how to approach the gallery.

Asking for a tip turned us all off - The tour itself was informative. The guide, however, really turned us off at the end by asking for a tip. When we didn’t have any Euro cash, and my brother-in-law gave him American currency, he first asked whether it was from the whole group or just him (implying it was too small for the group of five of us). When I subsequently said I had no cash whatsoever, my brother-in-law gave him some more American cash on my behalf, and the guide said something like “when you’re in Europe, you should use Euros.” Of course, he didn’t give either tip in dollars back. And then the guide still told me I should be “more prepared” with cash.
We took at least three Viator tours on this trip, including at least one in Rome and two in Florence and he was the only one to ask for a tip. We had tipped for the Rome tour without the tour guide asking.
Frankly, the whole conversation with the Uffizzi guide about tips turned us all off. It was exceptionally rude, especially when he received a tip, but not to his liking because of the currency, size or both. Also, he didn’t say anything to the other tour member who didn’t tip at all.

Poor communication - I never received any email confirmation, receipt, details so I didn’t have record of booking it.
