A Family Adventure Begins

As a family travel writer, I’m always on the lookout for unique experiences that cater to both kids and adults. When I heard about the Private Family Tour in French Harbour, I knew it was a must-try for our next family adventure. Next on our itinerary was Mayan Eden, a paradise for animal lovers. The moment we arrived, we were surrounded by the sounds of nature. Our guide was knowledgeable and passionate, sharing interesting facts about the animals we were about to meet. The highlight for the kids was undoubtedly the monkeys. Watching their eyes light up as they interacted with these playful creatures was a joy to behold.

The macaws were equally captivating, their vibrant colors adding a splash of beauty to the lush surroundings. The guides ensured that our interactions with the animals were respectful and safe, which I greatly appreciated. It was a wonderful opportunity for the kids to learn about these incredible creatures up close. The butterfly garden was a serene escape, with delicate butterflies fluttering around us, creating a magical atmosphere.

Sweet Treats and Souvenirs

After our animal encounters, it was time to indulge our sweet tooth at Mayak Chocolate. Here, we learned about the fascinating process of cacao production and sampled some of the most delicious chocolate I’ve ever tasted. The kids were thrilled to try different flavors, and we left with a few bars to enjoy later.

Our final stop was the Rusty Fish, a charming shop where everything is made from recycled materials. It was a great opportunity to pick up some unique souvenirs and support local artisans. As we headed back to the van, the kids were already talking about their favorite moments of the day.
