• Hakone Shrine - The shrine was relocated to the shores of Lake Ashi. Its present structure dates back to 1667. Father Mangan is credited with its founding, as he is said to have calmed the nine-headed dragon residing at the bottom of Lake Ashi.
• Owaku-dani Valley - Known as the “Great Boiling Valley,” this volcanic valley features active sulfur springs and hot springs in Hakone, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. It was formed approximately 3,000 years ago due to the eruption of the Hakone volcano.

This area is a favored tourist spot for its stunning views, volcanic activity, and kuro-tamago (黒卵, meaning “black egg”) - a local specialty of boiled eggs prepared using the thermal springs. The eggshells turn black and emit a slight sulfuric scent due to being boiled in the valley’s mineral-rich, sulfur-laden waters. It is believed that consuming one can add seven years to one’s life.

• The Hakone Open-Air Museum - Known as Hakone Choukoku no Mori Bijutsukan, this museum is divided into five indoor exhibitions and is renowned for the Picasso Pavilion, which houses around 300 works by the Spanish artist. The museum also features interactive outdoor sculptures for children and an onsen foot bath with natural spring water for visitors.
