Above and beyond customer service! - My husband lost his phone on the drive and the owner Sakun was able to retrieve it from the kind gentleman who found the phone, As we had already left the port, Sakun went out to pick up the phone at ~ 9 PM at night- and will send it to us in the US!!!
Love the kindness and honesty of the Sri Lankans that we met!!
We had a nice drive with Cavandu. The company was right there at the port to pick us up, and our messages to Sakun about pick up, etc. were promptly answered. Cavandu was pointing out all the birds/animals for us. We saw elephants, buffalo, monkeys, jackals, eagle, spotted deer, a leopard, and more.
I would highly recommend this company- they obviously care about their customers!

Easy to work with, informative and extremely helpful - We booked this group for a safari of Yala.
We were picked up from our hotel, which was a bit out of the way for them, but they did it and even suggested a better time than what we wanted and we were very thankful for that.
The safari was amazing. It is rainy season so we understood we wouldn't see many animals. We had the most amazing and informative guide who went out of his way to ensure we saw many animals, even a leopard. For this we are eternally grateful.
We even booked Udawalawe for the next day, and our guides were just as amazing.
These people even gave me advice when I mistakenly thought they were someone else and was asking for advice.
Coming from Canada, this event and these people were the highlight of our trip.

An excellent day, heartily recommended. - A thoroughly enjoyable day. We were contacted by the tour company ahead of our arrival in Hambantota and everything was very clearly explained. The vehicle fun:the promised air conditioning was actually the fact that the truck had no windows and believe me this was a godsend. It seemed a long way from the port to Yale but this meant we saw a lot of Sri Lanka which, after Colombo, was a good thing. Sad to see so many stray dogs sleeping in the middle of the road but good to see all drivers were careful to avoid them. (maybe vet schools internationally should send students to Sri Lanka to practice neutering - it would be a really worth while venture with both vet students and stray dogs gaining enormously)
The actual safari was terrific. Our ranger was amazing, he seemed to have the eyes of an eagle, spotting a baby chameleon while the truck was moving: unbelievable! We saw lots of elephants, including babies and tuskers. We saw everything mentioned on their website apart from leopards but we saw so much we weren't complaining.
I would recommend Yala Dreams Wild Safari Tours, we felt we had made a good choice.

An Unforgettable Safari Adventure in Yala National Park - Our safari experience was absolutely incredible! We were fortunate to encounter a wide variety of animals throughout the national park, and what made it even more special was the exceptional driver we had. They were not only knowledgeable but also incredibly passionate about sharing insights into the wildlife and the environment. Their enthusiasm made the whole experience even more enjoyable. A Truly Remarkable Safari Adventure! - Our safari experience was absolutely amazing! We were fortunate enough to see a wide range of animals, including a stunning leopard and a whole group of elephants. Disappointing - Driver did a very good job. Unfortunately, Yala is terribly overcrowded. Also, heavily forrested.
Very difficult to see animals and when seen, long line of cars to see them.

Not Really a Leopard sighting opportunity - Took this tour from the cruise port. They got us away from the port and on the road efficiently. The drive to the park was about 1 hour. Once we got ready to enter the park our guide/driver gave us a quick overview. He said that there were an estimated 35 leopards in the park, but that sightings were very rare. I don't blame our guide, but I think the whole tourism/park industry there overplays the chance of seeing a leopard to lure tourists in. IF YOU EXPECT TO SEE LEOPARDS, THINK AGAIN. We saw a few elephants, many spotted deer, water buffalo and peacocks. It was an enjoyable 3-hour tour of the park.

Yala Natl. Park - Sri Lanka - Yala park had very few interesting animals to see - also we were there at noon which is when the animals sleep - very bumpy dirt roads for two hours. Our driver was very good and a nice person. He stopped at a pharmacy at the way home for me. Should not call this a safari!
